I wish people would just understand!!!!
Saturday, July 28th, 2007Today while I was at the gym, I was training my legs. One of the guys there commented and said to me "is that all you do is workout your legs?" I told him no, that I added a second day to workout my legs since that was an area my body was lacking in. He looked at me and said "Well I don’t think you need to work on them". I said I am lacking in my glute/hams area. He told me to keep training hard then. I mentioned I needed to stay on a stric diet as well. He looked at me again and said "You don’t need to go on a diet". Like people I know I am small as is , when I say diet I don’t mean losing like 10-20 pounds here!! I am talking about eating clean so my body can lean up to what I want it to be. Then to top it off he started critizing my hair because I colored it. LIke who the hell are you to tell me what u think looks good and blah blah.
I am sorry for venting but I just had to. I find it very difficult when I tell people I am dieting down to lose fat. They always look at me thinking I am trying to lose 20 pounds or something when that is not the case. When I try to explain to people that I evenutally want to compete in figure, they always assume I am going to be this huge bodybuilder!! I try to explain that figure competition is not female bodybuilding. GRR…..I just wish people understood what I am talking about.
How does anyone explain to people about competiting and stuff without getting judged?
