Welcome!

I have been busting to get this last little bit of weight off.  I am finally feeling that I am within reach of my goals. I had asparitations of looking like CT. Which would be unrealistic for me to do. I have had 5 children and she has no children and has been working out for over 20 years.  Don’t get me wrong she looks fabulous and should be applauded for her dedication.  It’s just no matter how hard I work out I will not get that hard for a long time.

It is so cold here it is hard to stay motivated. I love to run outside, but no can do with the snow and ice. I am still working on the "problem" area…abs, They are strong just a few extra mommy pounds to shred off.

ok it is really cold and we are expecting a kick ass winter storm. I will be starting a free weight workout on Monday to kick off the new year. Can’t wait! I hope everyone has a great holiday and Merry Christmas :)

I am on day 5 of weigh training with a new trainer. He is kicking my butt each day with new stuff. Cardio is slacking, so I tried to put cardio in between sets today. It seemed to work pretty well. Legs still on fire from yesterday. Seeing much improvement with the clean eating diet. Still have lots of work to do, getting better as I go. "Try a little harder, be a little better" !
It’s still snowy which prevents my running a outside a bit. Hanging on the treadmill and bike trainer for now. Good luck everyone and Happy New Year. New Year new you :)

Friends always want to bring you down. WHY you may ask. Because you are doing more than they are. They don’t want to put in the effort and they definately don’t want you to put in the effort. My friend was telling me the other day I was over training and taking to many supplements. I was at the gym for 45 minutes and I only take fish oil and kelp. HUMMM No one wants you to have more than them. In fact I am got started working out cuz someone (a friend) told me I was to old to get back into shape. Here have another donut… Bring it on I say, I am an over achiever and always have been. Just walk away when people start telling you negative stuff. Or flip them off, that is even better. I don’t do negative and never will. Push through the I want to quit this stage and go onto something harder.

I have lost 6 pounds this month, thanks to Alex at prepbyalex.com. He is awesome to work with if you need some extra advice. I am still working towards my goal for my show on April 11. Eating clean is definately a challange, espceically when you have kids around. lol They don’t want to eat the plain food. It is ok though, that tests my will power. I am definately motivated. I can’t wait to update my photo. I don’t look like this one anymore ;) Keep on lifting ! In health and wellness - Bonnie

Is it just me or is it the same six woman and men on the profile page everyday. Yes they look fabulous, but please, everyday for 6 months now. Ok it hasn’t been that long it just seems like it.

I have stepped up the cardio to 3 times a day, with clean food and lifting. It is a challenge for sure. If you want to be the best you have do the best.

Does anyone have any advice on getting rid of the water in your body? Love to hear what you have to say.

    Bonnie

I do not have a problem with water retention so can’t help you there but wanted to commend you for your work and tell you to keep it up. I will never understand why "friends" want to keep a person down but I see it myself all the time. I am 46 and constantly told that I am to "old" to meet the goals I have set for myself. That is one reason I joined this type of forum, I needed a little support now and then. Good Luck!

Thank you for your blog. I agree how people want to tell you how old you are and that it will never happen…blah blah blah Step back and take a look at the person talking. They are usually over weight and out of shape. How would they know what you are capable of. You can have whatever you want. I truly believe that. Keep on working, keep setting goals and keep on acheiveing them. Oh and of course keep me posted :)
