2 Cheat Days in a row

For all you lean people out there….I’m wondering if you get the same feeling as me.  When I’m eating my regular diet, clean food, every 2 hrs, I feel fantastic.  If I keep on the diet for 7 or more days, and then have 1 cheat day where I eat a bunch of garbage, I look better the next day.  It doesnt even effect me really.  But if I do it TWO days in a row, I look like crap the next day, AND my mood is just completely all out of whack.  I feel down, with less energy, and it’s almost as if I changed the chemical makeup of my body BACK to "garbage mode", where most people live out the duration of their lives.  Then, when I get back on my regular eating plan, my body takes about two days to return to where I was, and on the third day, I wake up feeling fantastic again, full of energy, and uplifted.  This is how it works inside "me"….But I was wondering if anyone else experienced the same thing :)

I experience almost the exact same thing. I usually use my cheat meal to go grab some pizza from CiCi’s. But honestly, I feel like crap right after I eat it. My mind knows that the food isn’t part of my normal diet and it puts me into an almost depressed state. But like you said, a couple of days later I feel and look normal. I think a lot of people go through this same experience with their cheat meals/days.

I’ve been feeling the exact same way, granted, I just started changing my body on December 22nd, I was great through out the holidays, making the right choices you speak about. I decided to have a cheat day this past weekend. And then I couldn’t stop cheating. The next day I didn’t look so bad, and I actually had a killer workout, so I cheated again, and that’s when I paid for it. Not only did I not feel as good, but I gave in to some sort of depression, that has taken me a couple of days to beat. Funny how body and mind connect themselves.

Yep, I always fear the worst, but my body looks BETTER the day after the "cheat" day. After ‘06 USA show, I ate a cheeseburger, fries, onion rings and a root beer float - about 5 hours before a photoshoot. I was way worried about post meal BLOAT. It turned out ok…my body sucked in the food and I filled out "correctly" for the shoot. btw…my current avatar :-)

    I would agree completely.

And I think your "Mindful Consuming" blog plays a part into it. Your saying everything is connected, and thats your inner outlook on everything. So you put something that you see negative into your vessel of being and your outlook changes.

And please understand me when I say this… but I haven’t had a whole day of crappy food. I do cheat meals, I plan to have one a week. That way I dont feel so bad when I do it.

yea I never do two cheat day back to back.
If it does happen I make sure I get a 45min cardio in and 1.5 gallons of water to flush my body back to normal.
