Back to My All Time Low Body Weight

Friday, June 22nd, 2007

I’d kind of forgotten about this blog. Quick update is in order I suppose :) . I now weigh in at just below 177 lbs, which is my all time low weight. My main concern at this point is whether or not I’ve lost LBM since I’m not lifting as much as I should. I wouldn’t say I’m completely neglecting it, but it’s not as consistent as it should be :/. I’m assuming I’ve lost a bit, but most of the fat is gone as well, so I’m happy with that. I’ll run to the gym right now since I’m thinking of it and I’m beginning to feel guilty.

Here’s to bringing the LBM back!

Current Measurments are In…

Thursday, January 18th, 2007

I decided to take a whole set of measurements so that I’d be able to follow my progression back into shape. Somehow now I wish I hadn’t though. I can’t believe how some of these numbers have shot up in just a few months. Hopefully I’ll remember this when next winter comes, and I can curb myself a little bit by recalling how badly this sucks. Maybe this blog entry will help.

According to the statistics I kept during my mega-cut
last year, I’m approximately where I was at sometime in April. I don’t
think it will take as long this time around, but I’m prepared for it
if it does. I can still get in shape for summer if I give it my best.

The new measurements are entered into my BodySpace, and I’ll be taking similar measurements on a weekly basis, probably beginning on Monday. I want to see those charts with downward slanted lines. Maybe I’ll also take some new pictures, but I think these numbers are depressing enough for today. Possibly another task for Monday.

Mega-Cut Progress Pictures

Wednesday, January 10th, 2007

As I mentioned in my post yesterday, I spent the last bit of 2005 and the majority of 2006 on a cut. This cut brought me from being an overweight 240 lbs to a relatively fit 178 lbs. I was going to upload my monthly progress pictures over that time frame to my BodySpace account here on bb.com, but decided to just keep this location on the web as my spot for future progress. Instead, I’ll just post a link to my progress page elsewhere on the web for reference in case anyone is interested.

First Post

Tuesday, January 9th, 2007

Well… It seems I’ve let myself go a little bit since the summer. To be honest, much of this was intentional. I spent the end of 2005 and the majority of 2006 on quite a strict nutrition and training regimen. I’m thrilled with the results I got following my plan, but it did take a lot out of me (literally too!:)).

I had planned to put on some fat over the winter, but the fat was supposed to be a byproduct of my first official bulk that commenced in October! Instead, near the end of September my back gave out on me. Now over the last few years this is hasn’t exactly been a rare occurance. This has been happening once or twice per year for the past few years. This time was a little worse though. I had to take 2 months off from work to recover. Needless to say, I wasn’t hitting the gym during this time. Last week my physical therapist finally said that there is no need to schedule further appointments. I feel much better, and I look forward to slowly making my way back into training. I’ve lost a lot of strength, gain a bit of fat (~15 lbs), and a lot of motivation. I look back at the photos I took in September and get pumped about returning to that same condition.

This time the road to 10% will be much shorter, and I know what I’m doing from the very beginning. I have no doubt I’ll be able to hit the target before the first day of summer!

Cheers.
