Rainy Days and Mondays Always Get Me Down

And today is both.

I should be excited about the 3-day work week and looking forward to spending the holiday with family, but right at this moment I just want to go back to sleep - but only if I don’t have the terrible dreams again that disturbed and kept me up most of last night.

There’s a lot to be done between now and Thursday but I’ve got a decent handle on most of it and am looking forward to tonight’s workout even though it’s going to knock me out.

I Think a Change……Would Do Me Good…..

You betcha, time for a massive change. After meeting with a friend who is also a bb.com member and a personal trainer, my workout and diet has been completely revamped. If it doesn’t kill me, I’ll end up looking much better in a few months!

I’m switching from lifting on Monday/Wednesday/Friday to a five day with some serious cardio added in. Chest/triceps on Monday, abs on Tuesday, back/biceps on Wednesday, more abs on Thursday and legs/shoulders on Friday with just cardio on Saturday and Sunday. The biggest change is that I’m going with much lower weights and supersetting tons of reps.

My diet hasn’t changed too much except that I’m watching my sugars more closely than before and am aiming for 1,500-1,600 calories a day.

Working out through the holidays and eating right is going to be a challenge, but I’m up for it. Luckily, I still have gym memberships back home for during the holidays when I’m out of town and can still maintain some sort of decent workout schedule. Thankfully, they’re only closed on the holidays which are both Thursdays - I can still get in a decent ab workout if I make it a priority.

I plan on rewarding myself the day after Thanksgiving with a trip to the spa for some pampering.

Frankly, I don’t want my damn photos edited and reposted in the forums by morons. Will it ever stop? Highly unlikely. But one specific poster’s ongoing harassment and stalking did, indeed, lead to me removing many of the data and photos from my profile for the timebeing.

Why? Because I come here for motivation, support and encouragement from others……not to be fodder for feeble-minded fools and their fumbling attempts to make themselves feel better by ridiculing others. If I want negativity, I’m sure I could call up my ex and after about five seconds have my fill of that.

Anyway, I have added back a select few progress pics and will be adding back more in time.

Diet has been pretty good this week, I’m still struggling with the calorie conflict of what is not enough and what is too much. I’d lost a lot of the weight on 1,200 - 1,400 calories a day on a 40/40/20 and then carb cycling nutrition plan. Since my thyroid was out of whack for about six months starting in fall of 2007 and finally back on track in spring of this year I’ve had a difficult time figuring out the right formula diet-wise to ensure continued progress.

I’m in the same position with my workouts lately, too. So to help me figure it out I’m going to spend some time with a friend who’s also a personal trainer to seek his advice on modifying my current workout plan. I’ve decided that my chiro’s advice in this regard hasn’t helped me much so while I’ll continue to heed his advice, it will be in moderation.

Anyway, that is all for now…..I’m looking forward to a rather calm and relaxing weekend. Finally!

Shake that ass….show me what you’re working with!

Sadly, not working with much. LMAO, I’ve been told by the man I adore (even though he doesn’t deserve it) that I have a severe case of WGA - White Girl Ass. So, I’ve added the glute machine in to my workouts for kicks to add some shape to my backside.

Heading to the gym later instead of this morning, I don’t get to sleep in often so I took advantage of it. And the personal stuff going on lately has got me a bit down, so sleep was good. But I’m wide awake now, shifting the summer and winter clothes in the closet and doing some stuff around my place and getting my workout clothes ready for the rest of the week.

Diet’s been very good so I’m thrilled with that and my cardio last night worked up a great sweat. I’m finally back in the groove again…..woohoo!

Some Days You’re the Bug……

Today is one of those days where I totally can identify and commiserate with the bug.

Diet’s going well, down 3 lbs - going to get in some cardio tonight and do my squat workout in the morning since I have off of work - gotta’ love bank holidays.

Hopefully, I will stop feeling like a bug sometime soon, but I’m not holding out much hope.
