Lost All Discipline

While I was at the county fair today I somehow justified to myself that it would be o.k. to have a cheat meal.  It’s crazy because I am extremely disciplined, until I convince myself that it is o.k. to have a cheat meal.  That’s when all hell breaks lose and I am like an uncontrollable animal searching around for any unhealthy food I can get my hands on.  It was all because I realized that I haven’t had a cheat meal in about three weeks.  My diet is controlled, not entirely strict.  I eat fruits and cottage cheese and probably too much peanut butter most of the time.  So basically I’m not sure I was really WORTHY of a cheat meal tonight.  Anyways, I decided to get a burrito, with just chicken, beans, and rice.  Not too bad for a cheat meal.  Then I was still hungry.  I decided to get a huge waffle cone with oreo’s and butterfinger topping.  That’s probably a little too much.  I got home and was still not full, and I couldn’t stop thinking about food and how I wanted MORE.  So I made a bowl of cereal, Raisin Bran Crunch, which turned into half of the box.  Believe it or not I still am hungry.  I mean how is this possible?  I think it’s also because I know I’m about to start dieting and so I figure who cares if I get fatter before I start dieting?  It’ll make the before pictures better.  HA!  It’s funny how I can find a way to justify anything.  I’m going to the gym before I make myself sick.

One day/night like that isn’t going to make much of a difference to anything if your eating right the rest of the time… infact it may help you out if you are constantly eat in calorie deficit as a good ‘feed’ like this once in a while will help stop the body from going into ’starvation mode’ - during which time your metabolism will slow down to preserve energy deposits i.e FAT.

so gain your discipline back tomorrow and forget about it… I had a similar weekend, we had friends stay, waay too much food and beer… but i haven’t done that in a looong time so i’m not stressing over it… and I just did a double cardio session to make up for it… that is one funny thing, always have heaps of energy the day after a binge… lol

OK so replying to my own blog lol. I didn’t even go to the gym. I curled up in the fetal position for three hours and passed out on the floor. I woke up and my heart was beating all fast and I was all sweaty. I feel great actually, and you know what? I’m resting until tomorrow! Hah! I’m going to have a killer workout and I can’t wait! I’m going to superset and circuit train my upper body like this:
    1) Dips
    2) Wide grip pull-ups
    3) TBar Rows
    4) Push ups
3 sets of 12 and then rest 3 minutes
    5) Bench press
    6) Dumbell Presses
    7) Standing barbell extentions
3 sets of 12 and then rest 3 minutes
    8) Barbell curls
    9) Cable tricep press-downs
    10) Lat pull-downs
3 sets of 12 and rest 3 minutes
Abs- 12 inutes of continuous upper ab work.
