Carb-up days make me feel like crap.  I’m sluggish, tired and my stomach hurts.  I talked to a 40-yr old female "retired" bodybuilder today and she said she’s the same way and that she never carb loaded in her day and did fine.  She said women don’t need to do that and it doesn’t really help us lean down like it does men.  I’m debating whether I should carb load before my show in two weeks or just keep it normal and not risk it.  I actually don’t feel I look better when I carb load.  I do feel better and look better when I eat a lot of fats such as peanut butter and animal fats on occasion.  Maybe I’ll just increase fats the day before and of the show.

    I tried my first deplete/load this last week and had good luck just loading with apples. Plenty of natural sugars and still some fiber with plenty of water. For me I ate 2 normal sized ones with breakfast and lunch. Went with starchy carbs the other meals, but next round I think I’ll keep it just fruits. Experimentation is part of the whole experience.

    x2 trixter. Experiment, the same thing won’t work for every living soul. Find out what makes you happy and gives you the results you’re looking for. BTW you look great.
