Official Full Force Productions Ring Girl!!!

Wednesday, October 1st, 2008

As some of my buddies on here know, my future hubby is a Pro MMA fighter. Well… the production that he usually fights out of contacted me to see if I would consider being their ring card girl for their next show, because all the other girls pulled out last minute. I was a little hesitant, it had been so long since I’ve done something like that, but then I got my "What am I waiting for??" attitude on and accepted. That gave me 1 day to prepare, lol! After an exciting night, many whistles, pictures with "fans", and even a random marriage proposal (haha!), I was exhausted and couldnt wait to take off the heels. I woke up the next day, looking at some of the pictures and was so pleased. I looked at these pictures, of this beautiful and fit woman dressed up and walking around the ring with a big smile on her face and realized: THAT WAS ME! I used to weigh close to 180pds. I used to be a size 16 in clothes. And there I was, in VERY revealing clothing, in front of thousands. I am very proud of how far Ive come.

The day after the event, I was contacted and asked if I would be interested in being an Official Full Force Girl. I, me, HEATHER was considered a fan favorite. I have accepted, and now they want me to put together a group of girls to be the OFFICAL FULL FORCE RING GIRLS (not sure if that will be the name that will stick…) So if you are in the Massachusetts/Rhode Island area, and you would like some great exposure in the MMA industry, or just plain exposure, please contact me!!! You will get paid for each event, and get front row seats at the best MMA Show in the Northeast! I promise you would have a blast.

Hope all is well with you in the Bodyspace world,

Heather

Sweat?!? Why, yes! Thank You!

Thursday, August 21st, 2008

Random Blog…from my random mind!

So…  I was at the gym the other day, doing my "arm day". I always warm up with some cardio before I begin my lifting… and when I exercise… I do this thing called "sweating" I mean… I dunno… most human bodies do it when being pushed into a fat-loss or cardiovascular state… SOOO call me crazy, but I rather enjoy the feeling of a little sweat bead trickling down the middle of my back. Means Im working, dammit!

Well… as I was in the weight room working these extreme guns that I have :0) a couple of young girls looked at me in disgust and were talking amongst themselves, and I assumed it was obviously about me. Now I had my headphones on, so I paused the music to see if I could hear what they were saying. And they were pretty much saying I had "arms like a man" and "why would you want to look like that?" and "Lookhow sweaty she is, its all down her back, like totally ew!!!" So I did what any hot tempered Italian girl would do… I took off my earphones, looked directly at both of them, and said "Ummmm… I can hear you. Im right here. Now do you have something you would like to ask me??? Like how to put some gorgeous muscle on your very non-muscular bodies?" **pause, them just looking at me in shock**  "No??? Didn’t really think so, so thanks for not talking about me. Have a good day" They just kind of looked at eachother and at me and muttered a sorry and left quickly. I guess im pretty bad-ass. hahaha!

So in my quest for ripped up abs, I revamped my entire workout regimen, and i have to say I am definitely reaping the benefits. My legs are looking better, my arms are developing nicely, my butt is taken on a new life (being italian, its always been my seller… but now it just gets so many more stares! hahaha!), my abs are definitey coming in (slowly but surely) and I have hardly ANY cellulite, which used to be a major problem for me seeing i weighed almost 180pds!

My new favorite workout day, is "back day". I see results very quickly on my upper body (usually, and sans the gut, lol) and I have just gotten really strong very quickly. Im in the middle of loosing fat so I can see whats underneath all of this, and what REALLY needs to be worked on. "Cause the muscle is here, baby! Now I just need to show it!" HAHA!

Well, thats enough of my very ADD rant and rave.

Have a Good Day And Train Hard!

French Toast is the Devil.

Monday, August 18th, 2008

So it’s been a little while since I’ve written anything. I have been hitting the gym faithfully, and continuing to build muscle.

One thing I haven’t been doing… is saying No to French Toast.

There’s this local breakfast joint, and they seriously have the best french toast and homefries EVER. My fiance’ works in law enforcement for his 9-5, and he’ll sometimes get forced overtime on the graveyard shift, and when he comes home we like to eat together before he hits the hay… but these last couple of times, we end up going right up to our breakfast spot, which is conveniently located about a mile up the road,  and that’s when this diet sabotage takes place.

I guess it could be worse… I mean, at least I’m eating this junk early in the AM so I have time to burn it off throughout the day at the gym or whatever. BUT let me not justify it, because then I will think its okay. I’ve made him aware that I am no longer his eat-out buddy :0)

Alright, enough of my rant on yummy breakfast treats. I’m Back on my diet TODAY, before any real damage can be done.

Have a Good Day and Train Hard!

Yay… for dieting!

Saturday, August 2nd, 2008

I know, I know… you probably think I’m crazy for the above statement, lol! I just have to share, I finally busted through this plateau! With a little advice from some great Bodyspace friends, and monitoring my intake very closely… I FINALLY got under 20% bodyfat! I also loss a collective 4 inches since I last measured a little over 2 weeks ago. My weight hasn’t budged… but I am happy at 120. I would even like to be more around 125 to be quite honest.

I honestly feel like I’m always eating, I’m never hungry. Kinda sucks that I’ve been following a diet… that even though worked, left me feeling so famished.

I will be putting up more progress pictures soon.

Thanks to those who offered me advice! I trully appreciate it.

Carpe Diem, my friends!!!

Sunday, July 20th, 2008

Well… I was going to wait untill Monday to get back on track… but then I woke up super motivatedl! I have a new sense of devotion to my body/diet/life today. I guess when someone that you viewed as big, strong, and brave passes away… it makes you think.

So off to the gym I go! And IM NOT COMING BACK TILL IM DRIPPING IN SWEAT, so there! :0)

DIET??? Eh, I guess I better…

Saturday, July 19th, 2008

WELL… Update on my quest for ab-perfection! I WAS doing really well… but I fell off the wagon a few days ago. I got some pretty devastating news that a very dear old friend passed away. I am an emotional eater… always have been… and I have definitely been seeking comfort from cupcakes. I am planning on getting regimented again on Monday. Hopefully I can get my head back into it and get motivated. I’ll let ya know…

Searching for my abs… Have you seen them???:0)

Thursday, July 3rd, 2008

Well… Im relatively new to this whole "Bodyspace" thing :0) Ive decided that my first blog will be dedicated to my journey for awesome abs. The last time I could actually see those babies was over 6 years ago!!!

A little about me…. Ive lost over 45 pds (and still trucking along!) I have always loved working out… just fell into some really bad eating habits and a terrible romantic relationship that took its toll on my self-esteem (still a struggle). I feel very grateful that all my skin retained most of its elasticity (except for a few lines on my stomache and some very stubborn cellulite that I swear is there, but everyone else thinks Im crazy, lol) Im very body concious/shy… I call it "fat-girl syndrome". Sometimes I still see myself at 160-175 pds no matter what the scale says.

Anyways… Ive decided that I am going to post some tummy pictures (in the PROGRESS section on my profil) so that I can chart my progress and get any feedback/input from any of you fine and fit individuals :0) The good, the bad, the ugly, let me hear it!!!

 Thanks bunches!
