New measurements this morning, and heavier weights

This morning when I woke up, I measured my biceps… 13.5 inches! THat’s another 1/4 inch since last week. My arms’ relaxed measurements are just about at what my flexed measurements were when I first started lifting in August. That’s a good deal.

I didn’t feel very good going into my workout this morning. Today was shoulder day and I’m just not very good with my shoulder workouts. I decided to start out with some light cardio to get my body warmed up. I did 7 minutes on the treadmill. Then I proceeded to stretch my shoulders, arms and chest. Next, I began my shoulder workout with a warmup set of Arnold Presses with 40 pound Dumbells. I pushed out 8 pretty easily. Ok, first heavy set, I used 50 pounds and did 8 there. Wow, that seemed kind of easy. So then I bumbed it up to 60 pounds. I pushed out 6 reps. It was tough but I pushed them out. That’s a new weight because I don’t think I’ve ever done more than 50  on Arnold Presses. I tried another set at that weight but was only able to push out 3 reps, so then I dropped it to 55 and pushed out 6. Next set was 6 of 50 lbs. Then another set of 6 with 45 lbs. I completed out my shoulders with front laterals, bent over laterals (to hit the rear) and some cable laterals, several sets of each. I also did some trap exercises too. After I finished up with my shoulders, I jusmped on the treadmill for another 6 minutes with some sprinting in there. Overall, it turned out to be a pretty good workout.
