Monday, April 30th, 2007

I guess it’s been a while since my last post. Mostly because my diet went to crap…PMS hit and the cravings were intense. To get myself back on track and pumped up, I read some nutrition articles on BB.com and pulled out the newest Oxygen magazine for women! I’d have to say that my biggest inspiration to eat clean again was seeing Jackie in highlighted in the "Tomorrow’s Cover Girls" section. I went to college with Jackie and she her physique was absolutely amazing. We’d all stare in awe when she did squats because she had a perfect butt. Basically, I want look as great as her so it’s time to hit it hard:

I cheated a little last night…yes I admit it. I was so hungry after my protein shake at 7 pm that by 9:30 I went out and cheated! I had a bowl of white *gasp* bowtie pasta w/ grilled chicken, garlic & olive oil, tomatoes, broccoli, and olives…and a little bit of foccacia bread. I don’t think I made my calorie consumption goal yesterday so a little extra didn’t seem too bad. Plus, I didn’t get to bed until almost 1 am last night.

Wednesday, April 18th

8 am - One scoop Nature’s Best Isopure w/ water

10 am - whole grapefruit

11 am - 2 pieces dark rye bread w/ sliced turkey and honey mustard

1 pm - 1 serving tuna on 1 brown rice cake

3 pm - 1 medium Fuji apple, One scoop Nature’s Best Isopure w/ water

5:30 pm - 1 cup steamed broccoli, 1 tblsp all natural peanut butter on 1 brown rice cake

8 pm - Yang’s (really yummy Chinese food for my mom’s birthday dinner…just have to watch my portion sizes!)

Got to the gym last night all pumped and ready to go and I forgot my shorts and t-shirt! I was pissed but I got some other things done at home that I had been putting off. I’ll try to get some cardio in tonight before bedtime because I’m flying to LA tomorrow morning through Friday afternoon and won’t have a place to workout.

Tuesday, April 17th, 2007

First day back at the gym last night since Thursday. I did a short leg workout of hack squats, deadlifts, stationary lunges w/ plates, some ab work, jump roping and cardio interval training on the treadmill. My quads are definitely suffering today. Tonight is going to be my favorite workout: shoulders/traps and cardio!

Monday, April 16th, 2007

Well, after a very long weekend of socializing, my diet went to crap. Friday night I had a piece of pizza after we left the bar and on Saturday I didn’t get a chance to eat from 2pm-10pm…horrible! Then I loaded up on sushi and alcohol Saturday night. Thankfully, it didn’t take long to get back on track on Sunday and i’m eating clean thus far.

Monday, April 16th

7am - One scoop Nature’s Best Isopure w/ water

9am - 1 grapefruit, 1/2 cup oats w/ splenda, 1 cup egg whites

11am - 1 brown rice cake, 1 serving of solid white albacore tuna

1pm - turkey sandwich on whole wheat w/ mustard, tomato & lettuce

4:30pm - piece of fruit, 1 brown rice cake

6pm - Workout legs/abs/45 min cardio

7pm - One scoop Nature’s Best Isopure w/ water

Friday, April 13th

Friday, April 13th, 2007

Ooohh…it’s Friday the 13th! So I cheated a little last night. All I could think about was food when we went to the club last night. I had two little pieces of cake (don’t know what it was) and two fried pineapple chunks. I also had a martini with sweet & sour. Then I danced my butt off, hoping I burned off all those extra calories!

Friday, April 13th:

9am - whole wheat bagel w/ egg whites and 1 slice of fat-free american cheese. 1/2 blueberry bagel (carb overload…oops!), Sugar-free Red Bull

12pm - 1 serving of canned salmon, 1 brown rice cake

3pm - 1/2 cup oats w/ splenda, 3/4 cup microwaved egg whites

5pm - 1 Fuji apple

8pm - One scoop Nature’s Best Isopure w/ water

10:30pm - 2 shots of vodka + diet coke (yes, going out once again to shake my booty)

Today’s workout: 30 minutes interval training on treadmill

Thursday, April 12th

Thursday, April 12th, 2007

So I cheated a little last night at dinner. I went on a date and he took me to a Thai restaurant…which is my favorite kind of food. Thankfully, they didn’t have Pad Seeyu on the menu which is carb overload! I had green chicken curry with rice and two fried shrimp rolls. Oh well…I still had my protein shake later as a snack.

Diet for Thursday, April 12th:

7am - One scoop Nature’s Best Isopure w/ water

9am - 3/4 cup microwaved egg whites, 2 pcs whole wheat toast w/ all natural PB, green tea w/ splenda

11am - Sugar-free Red Bull

1pm - Whole wheat turkey sandwich w/ cranberry spread, tomatos, & lettuce

5pm - One scoop Nature’s Best Isopure w/ water, 1 Fuji apple

8pm - 4 egg whites, 1 whole egg, low carb whole wheat tortilla

I am going dancing tonight instead of going to the gym to do cardio which means I will probably have 2 shots of vodka and a diet coke.

Consistency is Key

Wednesday, April 11th, 2007

I’ll be using this space to keep a daily journal of all my meals. I hate making progress pictures and my daily diet available to the public, but I think it will keep me on track! I have less than 4 weeks until I head back to Pullman, WA for graduation (basically a little college reunion) and less than 7 weeks until I’m walking around the pool in Vegas in a tiny bikini *yikes* Talk about motivation…

Tuesday, April 10th:

7am - 2 scoops of Nature’s Best Dutch Chocolate Isopure w/ water

10am - 1 serving of solid white albacore tuna w/ brown rice cake, sugar-free Red Bull

12:30pm - 2 pieces of ham w/ 1 cup steamed veggies

2:30pm - 1/2 cup oats w/ 1 splenda, 3/4 cup microwaved egg whites, green tea w/ Splenda

4:30pm - 1 whole grapefruit

6:30 pm - grilled chicken w/ tomato salsa, 1 cup black beans, grilled red pepper/zuchinni/squash mix

9pm - 1 scoop Nature’s Best Isopure w/ water

Wednesday, April 12th:

6:30am - 1 scoop Nature’s Best Isopure w/ water

8:30 am - 1/2 cup oats w/ 1 splenda, 3/4 cup microwaved egg whites, green tea w/ splenda

11am - brown rice cake w/ 1 tablespoon Adam’s All Natural crunchy peanut butter

12:30pm - 1 serving solid white albacore tuna, 1 cup steamed veggies, sugar-free Red Bull

3pm - 2 pieces ham, 1 fuji apple

6pm - some kind of lean meat + salad or veggies

8:30pm - 1 scoop Nature’s Best Isopure w/ water

I’ve been hitting the gym hard for the last two years and I still don’t look the way I’d like to…so i’ve narrowed it down to my diet. I’m going to try and cycle my carbs so that i’m eating less complex carbs on cardio only/days off. I’ll take new progress pics in about 2 weeks or so.
