2200 and alls well

Tuesday, September 18th, 2007

Got home in time to see the one reality show worth watching "the biggest loser".  I love Jillian, she friggin rocks!!!  I’m so glad she’s back, that I just might have to do more cardio (probably hallucinating right now cause that ain’t happening).  LOL!!  Too tired and I have to get slightly early tomorrow.  Going to get some rest now and prepare for a long work day and a great Back workout!!

First the Legs Then the BROWNS

Sunday, September 16th, 2007

I had an awesome leg workout this morning.  When I finished it felt like my thighs were going to explode out of my skin.  I couldn’t even sit to drive as my thighs were so tight.  I spent more time trying to stretch them then I did working them.  It was intense and it felt good.  Then I get home to watch the Browns play and according to every "expert" I was going to watch them lose and it was a really great game.  Talk about a high scorer.  If I can keep my workouts this intense, then maybe the Browns can play with the same intensity and win a coupla more.  Hey anything’s possible.

2.5% in 30 days?

Saturday, September 15th, 2007

Had a really good surprise this morning,  I felt leaner, at first I figured it was just the fact that I wasn’t fully awake yet but on a whim I decided to measure my BF.  Ok then I decided to measure it again.  At this point I know I’m still asleep so I use all three methods (tape, calipers, Bio-impedance) availble to me and lo and behold they all read the same 15.5%.  What a way to start the day!  Now I have to set a new goal for the BF as it is definitely not where it can be (still very squishy around them their love handles).  My workout was harder then I thought it would be (usually shoulders are hard not damn near impossible which is what they felt like today).   Not sure of the reason but I’m guestimating it’s an ebb and flow thing.  It went quick too, before I knew I was done.  I can only hope the rest of the day goes like this.

Mil Press  - 95×12 / 135×10 / 135×10 / 155×7 / 155×6 / 115×6

Lat Raise - 35×8 (x4)

DB Press Seated - 35×10 / 40×10 (x3)

22min

Battling the Past and the Barbell

Tuesday, September 11th, 2007

Some would say that today is a day of rememberance and sorrow.  To me it’s a day of regret for having quit the fight and retired from the Navy and it’s mission.  Fortunately I channelled that regret into my workout and it was awesome!

Incline Barbell Bench

135 x 12 / 185 x 10 / 225 x 6 / 225 x 6 / 235 x 3 / 225 x 6 / 135 x 10

Incline Dumbell Fly

35 x 10 / 40 x 11 / 45 x 11 / 45 x 10

Flat DB Press

50 x 15 / 60 x 12 / 60 x 10 / 60 x 7

Pushups

3 x 7

This workout felt like my old ones in every single sweating painful rep and it was glorious.  I’ve seriously missed that feeling.  I can’t wait for tomorrow’s workout (Back) and the next battle.

What happened to the Weekend?

Tuesday, September 4th, 2007

Well, I finally got out kayaking this weekend and was doing really great in the inlet with all the boat chop and current but the minute I hit the calm water of the lagoon — over I went.  Not even sure how it happened but one minute sitting on Kayak next second treading water.  Had a lot of fun putting around the islands with several friends and after a few little sprints we found out that even though my kayak is the heaviest with the heaviest load (me), I was the fastest.  My lower back and abs were killing me on monday though (well worth it in the end).  All in all it went by too quickly, but I plan on getting out again next weekend.  Hopefully in the next month I might even break out my Surfboard (it’s even bigger then my kayak).  LOL!   Did Legs yesterday and while they felt blown up, tired and sore at the time, I don’t feel a thing today.  Today was Chest, which really well.  I’m excited by how fast my chest and shoulders are responding (strength wise), just have to get them to fill out a little more.  Oh well one step at a time.
