One week before Sol y Arena

Well I finished today my long distance run, not bad at all for 16.7 km Time: 01:52:00, 1436 kCal, Max Heart Rate: 160, Average: 150, in Zone: 01:41:26; lovely.
Gym was not so unforgiving,  I did go a couple of time, one to work my arms on Monday, once to work on my back and chest on Saturday.  Yea I know if I want to grow (do I want that?) I need to be more consistent in my training.  Next week since we are just one week before the race, I will run in the 80% heart rate range, slow and easy, but I will hit hard the weights, this week I change of program.

Ready for Sol y Arena

Or so I think, today I had my long run, today I took a couple of twists to my long distance run, so in the end added 17 km; aprox 10.6 miles, I’m still hungry so this post is going to be short.

Duration: 01:47:53, Calories: 1404 kCal, Heart Rate: Max: 164 (91%), Avg: 151 (84%)

I missed my water bottle specially because this time I run for more than one hour, big mistake.  Will have to rest well today, and tomorrow, maybe lift light at the gym in order to recover.

Addendum

Saturday, March 10th, 2007

Had some wireless problems today, amazing but everything went wrong, but yes there is a Reset button, so problem solved, I just need to reconfigure some parameters in the firewall.

Talking about Firewalls,  I just wanted to show my new Shin Guards!Frank Shin Guards now I can train with no fear to cause damage to someone, or hurting myself.  This is just great, the best.

Next week change of program

Let me start by saying, this is just great!  I just go a new pair of shin guards with instead protectors and they feel just great!  Last night Kumite training was just great, never trained with so much confidence that I will not hurt someone and get hurt in the process.MegaGym
Today is Arm (Biceps, Triceps) forearms, and shoulder day, after that more Kumite training, so it is going to be hard, (the kind I enjoy the most when in the gym).
I think it is about time I upload new pictures in the progress section, I will wait until the 19th since I’m changing the program on that date and see if I was able to add some size.

I have lower the number of kilometers I’m adding every week to start again accumulating some carbohydrates for the Puntarenas race, I’m starting to see some doubt on some of the guys that come with us to train after work in the track, my running buddy is still in, I have no doubt that he will be there.

Next stop Sol y Arena Puntarenas

Monday, March 5th, 2007

Second time this happens to us, we train hard for the tournament and some of the members of the group are unable to go  :(   the whole idea is as we are a family, a Karate family everyone should go, be there.  This is unfair, as I trained hard, but I will not go if my Sensei is uanble to be with us.

On the other hand we are getting ready for the Sol y Arena run in Puntarenas, these are my results so far…Polar fitness tool I think I’m ready to do a good job.
