It is done, by the 4th of March I will be squaring in San Carlos, province of Alajuela in the next edition of the Yi Sin Mun edition of San Carlos. Sensei Felix is organizing the event, as a friend of my Sensei I will be defending Kioday What a great opportunity to make new friends in Karate.

Wish me luck to show all what I have worked hard for.

Back from a hard day’s Monday at the office.
No better reason than that to go and do my best, and it was YES! Gr8
work out. Warm up, with shoulder press, inclined, kick backs, military press, and French press. with my shoulders warmed up, I was set up to start an declined press bench, 3 x 8 x 95 kg! In pyramid starting the first series with 110 kg,
then down to 95. Same with inclined press bench, and finally flat.
At the same time I was working in super-set my back, Standing row, dead-lifting, and so on. I think what I like about working out my chest and back is that by the end of the evening, I’m just barely able to drive my car back home

Now this is interesting, I have almost completely stopped working out my legs since I’m doing once a week circuit training and field and track training (Wednesdays) today I did my routine for legs (not volume but to gain speed for Kumite and running) and I almost did not feel it, I use the usual weights 180 kg for leg press for example, and was like I was lifting nothing.
I will have to redo my weight leg training, as I will like to give some more volume to my legs. Tomorrow, I will be running only 12 km @ 80% of heart capacity.

Today finally we started our Circuit Training!
This is huge!
We started warming up, 13 minutes slow jog, after that fun!
Jumped, climb, abs crunches, jog again, more abs crunches, and to crown it deeps, start again, for almost 50 minutes, after doing it I was feeling pretty well. There is no description, this time we assembled a small group of office mates, we all did enjoy it but the night is cold (almost 19C)
Next Wednesday we will start earlier, I did not liked to miss my Karate - Kata day, but boy I enjoyed it and yes I’m happy and tire.

Today was Kumite training, very intense training, what I like about this kumite training is that it gives me the trust not to fear someone throwing all sort of Geri (kicks) or Zuki (punches) because I know how to fend and counter strike! Great class today learn how to throw all sort of combinations. I feel very happy to have the Sensei I have
Besides today was shoulder, chest and back day. Since today was a very nice day, very few people showed today at the gym, I had all the time to lift slowly and heavy!
Have no idea; drink almost three bottles of water, took one minute to recover, and again, and again. :d
Press bench decline, incline and flat did it with 86.2 kg, but slow, counting one, two three, then up, one, two, three, really slow. Then move to do some heavy standing row with 68 kg, then dead lifts: by the end of the day I had warm-up for 30 minutes, move to one hour of Karate Kumite, and then one more hour of heavy and slow lifting.
I know phone cameras are not good, so spear me.

Today was Kumite … cardio training!
Once again I feel that there is no contradiction between running long distance and Karate.
My Sensei was expecting us to ask for mercy: for doing sequences of Zenkutzu- Datchi, Chudan Zuki, Age Uke and others for just one hour? Sorry, not me.
What actually is now killing me are my tibialis anterior, wow I think I will have to rub Ben Gay or some other sports liniment, now they are killing me amazingly my knees are standing their ground well. The others doing a party right now are my sole muscles, but then again that is another story.
Good nite!
