I’ve been back in VA since Sunday night and using the kitchen at my old job to prep my niece’s wedding cake. I must’ve changed enough to be immediately noticable to all the old friend’s etc cuz I’ve gotten lots of "wow, what have you been eating?" and such. My best friend wanted all the info since he’s fallen out of the gym routine since I moved; actually said "you’ve inspired me to get back into it". My old boss (in his usual wit) said he should have me pee in a cup before letting me in the kitchen to work. While some of their opinions are a bit exaggerated I gotta admit it’s really made me feel great that all that work over the past year hasnt been for nothing. It also makes me wanna try even harder to keep the gains coming. Thanks to everyone on/at BB.com for the info, support etc. Keep it up yall….

Well I’m spending this next 8 days back home in Northern VA to make a wedding cake for my niece and see the old friends etc. Hoping I’ve changed enough for them to notice. Today was a real challenge to get my calories (yesterday as well) since I’m not home and cant cook. Will be tough this week but I’m going to do all I can to stick to my 4 whole meals and 2-3 shakes plan that got me finally to 185. We’ll see…

Wow, it looks as if the seemingly impossible (or at least very unlikely) has happened. Seems my nemesis the scale was indeed on target and I have actually met my goal of 185lbs by June 1st!! Apparently a tweek on my diet (finding a way to jam in another whole food meal) may have been the ticket to bust my plateau. I’m so diggin it and have to admit when I started last year at 160lb, or even this past January at 170lb, I never thought I could get to where I am now, I just hoped if I didnt give up the results would come. Looks like the goal my trainer and I set for 190lb by October might actually be attainable. Not going to worry about that now, just keep my head down, my ass in the gym and at the dinner table and see what happens…

Well started the Muscletech stack today and man that’s alot of pills to down daily! We’ll see what happens. Also either the scales at the gym are on the fritz or I almost hit 186lbs! We’ll check again tomorrow to see if it holds but if so maybe I spoke too soon about missing my goal. Here’s hoping

Well here I am less than a week from my trip back home and even though I wont make my goal of 185lbs (unless I smuggle rolls of quarters in my pockets) I’m confident that I look better than I ever have. I know I’ll make my goal just taking a bit longer than expected.
Also I received a gift from my wife. She picked up the Muscletech Stack "two week transformation kit" so I’ll be logging results with it. Seems like all three items are things I’ve taken previously just not in this format or together. Hoping for good things, seen good reviews. I’m not a Muscletech customer so I’m totally unbiased. Will post weight etc starting today with first doses.
On a side note, my wife and I find out the sex of the baby today. Our son is undecided as to preference, we’ll be happy with healthy. I’m still leaning towards Henry Wyatt for boy name and Lucy Ann for girl but she’s a little undecided about the Wyatt thing. We’ll see….

So here I am, almost done with my PCT of Formadrol then back to the M1D. Last time I cycled off was involuntary due to the food poisoning and the weight just dropped off. Seven pounds in 10 days to be exact. I wasnt sure how much was illness related and how much came from the cycle stopping. This full month of M1D followed with my PCT has answered the question pretty clearly. I’ve kept all the weight I had prior to cycling off. Seems to be a good sign for the LG product’s induced gains. Also, I’ve become fairly addicted to TrueMass vanilla and man was I salty when GNC was out. The sales guy (pretty helpful so far) sold me on their AMP Extreme Gainer so I took home a jug. I couldnt however down a glass of it! Might be one of the worst tasting things I’ve tried in 10 years. Thick and flavor similar to a eating a twinkie that sat in a camp fire…. IN THE WRAPPER! No offense but that stuff is going back if at all possible and I’ll have to figure something else out till the TrueMass is back in stock. Still sticking to the plan of 185lbs by June 1st trip to VA/DC. Shock the world (at least all the people I know lol)…

Had my Caloriepoint assessment yesterday. Didnt realize you could find so much out while sitting in a recliner with a facemask on. Trainer Kathleen had a good chuckle at my results. Of course she’s normally doing tests for people who are trying to lose weight and end up with daily intakes of like 1000 calories or some other crazy low number. Basically the test said if I dont do ANY exercise I’m still burning a bit over 3000 calories a day! I know there’s people out there who would like to donkey punch me and take my metabolism but the grass aint always greener on the other side, trust me. We’ve set up a goal of 3700 calories a day since I’ll still be lifting 4 days a week (when work allows) and hopefully with that I’ll hit my final goal of 190 by October or so. It does feel good to not be guessing anymore about what my body needs, its all there in black and white. Now I better get chewing…

Well here I am two weeks post illness and man I guess smack dab in the middle of the dreaded "plateau". I’ve put back part of what I lost being sick but can’t get back to where I was. I had hoped the gains would come back quicker than it took to get them in the first place but no luck. Also, I’m coming up on my last paid training session and the wife has forbade me from reupping for another month. I can totally understand since we’ve gotta start buying things for the impending baby arrival but its a bummer to be sure (the trainer thing, not the baby haha). I do plan on doing the metabolic test to find out just how many calories I need to be taking in (can you say probably 4500), not sure how I’m going to add more hours to the day to fit in more meals. Guess some would love that problem but believe me, its just as frustrating as saying "no" to the dessert as saying "yes" to meal #6. More (of me hopefully as well as words) later.

Well this is my first blog post… sorta. Apparently I’ve been leaving comments on my blog instead of actual posts but live and learn.
As the title suggests, I’m just getting over a fairly heinous bout of food poisoning. In my neverending quest for more protein seems I had some less than perfect cube steak with my 2nd breakfast last Thursday and have paid the price since. Got ill enough (not in a good way) to have to spend the following Sunday evening in the local ER from dehydration related problems. Dizziness, heart palpatations and IV anyone???
Well today was my first day back in the gym and not surprisingly, but sadly, I’ve lost 7lbs of my hard fought gains. A months work down the toilet (pun intended). Bad workout today to boot but I’ll chalk that up to general weakness from this week’s problems. One bright spot is my trainer, Kathleen and my wife have been real supportive this week and may yet keep me from losing total confidence. Just very discouraging..
On an embarassing side note; figured I’d try chest and tri’s today since I enjoy it. Was on the bench with 20 less pounds than normal and on the last rep couldn’t rack the bar on one side and had to lay there like a turtle pinned to the bench till some dude came by and racked it with one hand. Sure glad I used those clips or it would’ve been loud AND mortifying.
