2008 NASA Natural Nationals Results

The meet came and went. I lifted on Sunday. I opened with 430 and got 2 whites…judge said I wobbled the bar right as he said press. He said I held it and then it slid towards my face…2nd attempt at 462…2 whites…side judge said I was wobbling the bar coming down…3rd attempt 480…3 reds…go explosion from the hole…3/4’s of the way up the elbows flared out…not going anywhere…no excuses but I was coming down with something Saturday night, throat got scratchy, chest was congested, nose was congested…it sucked when I coughed because I would spit out huge nasty loogies…oh well…just in the cards at the meet. But hey there is another meet. We saw some crazy numbers put up. Long ass drive…I feel like shit and am running a fever and all that shit.

Meet results

Saturday, December 8th, 2007
2007 NASA West Texas Regionals
Ok so the meet came and went. I didn’t get the total I wanted. I weighed in at 236 at weigh in.
No excuses, just wasn’t there.
I opened my squat at 507 and got 3 whites. 2nd attempt at 540 and got 2 reds for depth…stayed with it for my 3rd to get it and I did (will post on youtube under pwrlftr242lbs.)
On to bench…opened at 413 and got 3 whites. 3nd attempt at 440 and got red lights (i paused midway, again will be on youtube.) Kept same weight for 3rd and got it.
I opened deadlift at 502 and got 3 whites, 2nd attempt 540 and got 3 whites. 3rd attempt went up to 573 and pulled it off the floor only to let it go back…blacked out for a bit .
Not what I wanted but I did finish the meet. That’s always a good thing.

Back to the board come Monday.

Busy busy

It has been pretty busy these last few weeks… football team has been in the play-offs and we are in the big dance this Saturday, the State Championship.

My training has been going well as I am getting ready for a meet on December 8. I am going to do a full meet, squat, bench and deadlift. I am so looking forward to squatting as I have not squatted since last December in a meet. I had knee surgery last December.

I am really going for that 500 bench this meet. I want to total over 1500…1700 would be great.

The powerlifting team is getting stronger as we are still working on our dvd, Half-Evil Powerlifting, our team name. Currently we have 8 lifters and working on a few more. Our gym is doing well as we have a few MMA fighters, some boxers and a bodybuilder.

Gym sites…lol

Ok so today I was training low back and hamstrings…

Well I was towards my last sets in doing goodmornings, and old school powerlifter walks by and comments that it is nice to walk in a gym and see someone lifting heavy weights…well picture 3 guys next to me doing db chest presses…they get up and get heavier dbs and struggle….lol…well we have brief conversation in between our sets…and he is squatting with great depth…we talk about depth and he says he can’t stand to see people half ass squat…well 2 guys are squatting and they are doing 1/4 squats..now to each their own in lifting but make sure you lift with full range of motion…well I finish my sets of goodmornings and finish my speed rack pulls, he finishes his squats, front squats and SLDLs…now remember the 3 guys that were db benching….they are still benching with dbs…and after each set they would stare in the mirror…it was quite a site…again to each their own…but when you hear.."Dude you are getting thick!" and the guy looks 130 soaking wet…

But at least they are in the gym doing something… Lift large people! 

2nd week of Animal X

I have begun my 2 nd week of using the Animal X product and let me state that this stuff is awesome! The intensity and mental state is beyond explanation. I have noticed that I have been sweating more…I do notice a vascualrity while training. If you guys want something that is good stuff, then I suggest you buy Animal X when it goes on sale in the future!

Ok today is day 4 of my training, I received my Animal X today! WOW…that’s all I am gonna say right now!

Workout was so damn intense and I am looking forward the more I take the "X" from Animal!
