12-Time IFBB Pro Figure Champion, Jenny Lynn, retires!
Dallas, Texas – 10/30/2009 - After 10 years competing, IFBB Pro Figure Icon, Jenny Lynn has decided to retire. She captured the very first pro figure contest in history, the 2003 Figure International. Jenny went on to win a total of 12 shows, the most of any other Professional Figure competitor, including two Figure Olympia’s and three Figure International’s throughout her eight year pro career.
Jenny is very thankful for her time spent on stage, largely because of the career she’s had the opportunity to create from it. “I have had an awesome career that I am very proud of. But, there comes a time in every athlete’s life when it’s time to step down. After 10 years competing and 31 contests later…it’s time. I’m not really sad to stop competing because honestly, the greatest success in my career has come from helping other people achieve their fitness and physique goals. I will continue to be involved in the fitness industry sharing my knowledge and experience and coaching competitors to follow in my foot steps”, says Jenny.
With the competition stage behind her and far more available time, Jenny has several projects she’s working on. She recently filmed a new training DVD prior to the Olympia with her workout partner, Trish Warren. The DVD will be for sale on our websites by December 2009. Jenny and Trish also created an apparel company that offers fun, trendy tanks, t-shirts and hats in addition to top quality active wear.
Jenny will focus a lot of her attention now on contest prep coaching and sharing her knowledge with up and coming competitors around the world. In addition to working with competitors, Jenny also conducts a 12-Week Transformation Challenge on her website. Anyone can join January 1st-April 30th, 2010. The client who makes the biggest changes to their physique in their 12-weeks wins an all expense paid trip to come train with Jenny in Dallas, Texas for a weekend. This will be her 4th year offering her very successful Transformation Challenge. Jenny says, “its been without question, the most rewarding part of my career far beyond any contest win!”
Jenny is also working on coordinating several seminars across the US for 2010 and is working on e-books and workouts that will be downloadable from her website in the next couple months as well. And lastly, Jenny is now offering in-home personal training where clients have the opportunity to either live with Jenny or have her stay with them for a period of time to learn first-hand everything involved in achieving their goals and leading a healthy lifestyle!!!

Infinite Labs signs Controversial Bodybuilder, Lee Priest as their new Juggernaut!
Infinite Labs the creators of Juggernaut, is making a splash in the Sports Nutrition Industry, by revamping the company from the ground up.
The first order of business is the new ownership. On September 4th, 2009, April Jacobs, became President by raising funds for this up and coming company. “I helped launch Infinite Labs almost two years ago, so I feel very connected to it”, Claimed Mrs. Jacobs, who is now the only woman to own and operate a Hardcore Sports Nutrition Company.
Infinite Labs widely known for their stand alone packaging of bright Yellow and Blue have been making their way up the ranks, since their launch at the Arnold Fitness Expo in 2008. Mrs. Jacobs states firmly, “There is no reason Infinite Labs cannot become the next big company, especially with the changes going in affect”. She wasted no time implementing, what she and her team feels will propel them to the level they are seeking. One of the most exciting decisions is the signing of a Controversial Bodybuilder, Lee Priest. Lee who currently resides in Australia, is well known, for his symmetrical physique, and detail to conditioning.
Some would say that his ban from the IFBB in 2006 brought him a lot of negative attention. When asked about the decision to make him a part of the Infinite Team, Mrs. Jacobs simply replied, “Why not?” “I have never been afraid of a challenge. Lee is an incredible athlete, who has a strong fan base. He was deemed an underdog in the past, just as I am currently. It is a perfect fit”.
Lee is known for his widely public views on improving the conditions for athletes in the Industry, as well as his extremely, ‘tell it like it is’ approach. Since the controversy, Lee has been allowed back in the IFBB, and plans on making his big come back in 2010.
Adding Lee to their team is only one of many new and exciting changes with this unique company. We are told this is just a piece of the plan to rise to the top, with the opening of their new offices in Orlando Florida, overhauling their website, hiring an incredible sales force, as well as preparing the launch of 6 new products. Mrs. Jacobs proudly states “I consider this the Infinite Dream Team. We feel we bring something refreshing to the Sports Nutrition Industry, a Hardcore Company, with a touch of Class”.

Hi guys!
I am participating in the "Walk to Cure Cancer" on September 13 and am trying to raise as much money as I can. I am sure we have all been affected or have known someone who has been affected by cancer, so this walk is very personal to me. I realize that the economy isn’t helping much right now, but if you can donate any money at all, I would really appreciate it!
For those who live near me, the walk is on Sept. 13. Registration is from 10-12 and the actual walk is 12-3 pm. It starts at UMASS, and I’m trying to get a nice big group together to do this. There are no fees or donations required, but I would prefer not to go empty handed. Please let me know if you can help me with this…if not, no biggie Thank you in advance!
Warmest Regards,
Tianna Ta
If you can help please send me a message here.

Farrah Fawcett rocked a hardbody for many years but sadly passed away this morning at the age of 62. Farrah was diagnosed with cancer three years ago and she documented her struggles with Farrah’s Story. The documentary was viewed by nearly 9 million viewers when it aired last month.
She was one of the leading ladies in the original Charlie’s Angels and scored a slew of other roles over the years. In 1995 (she 48 years old at the time), Farrah posed topless for Playboy and the issue sold over four million copies. It was the best-selling Playboy of the 90s.
Rest in Peace Farrah.

Meridian, ID (Bodybuilding.com) June 24, 2009 — A bizarre little story unfolded today, as it was revealed that Hardbody.com owner Isaac Hinds up until today had never before tasted peanut butter.
Isaac’s “Peanut Butter Virgin” status was inadvertently made known during a routine visit to Bodybuilding.com headquarters in Idaho this afternoon.
Click for larger image.
When asked about his unusual former status, Mr. Hinds had no comment. Upon leaving the building, however, several staff members noted a wide grin upon his face.
UPDATE: Rumor has it that Isaac subsequently made a run to a local convenience store to acquire some chunky peanut butter for an impromptu taste test before heading off to a BB.com softball game. Creamy remains his favorite, however. Welcome to a bold, new world of flavor, Isaac!

Nourish America Honored by Texas State House of Representatives
From:Michael Morton

Dear Friends:
Last week I attended a session of the Texas State House of Representatives where Nourish America was honored with a resolution for helping to provide critical nutritional foods and beverages to over 10,500 families in the Northwest Houston area after Hurricane Ike’s winds devastated the area and knocked out power for 2 million people. During the effort, Nourish America partnered with Robin Read, CEO of the National Foundation for Women Legislators, Mary Wong, President of the Office Depot Foundation and Representative Debbie Riddle (R-TX) to help organize and supply food, beverages and sanitary items for 4 pods, one of which had a line of cars six miles long filled with families waiting for provisions. The effort was fueled by 700 local volunteers. Except for some ice supplied by the County and by FEMA, all the supplies were provided without federal help and at no cost to the taxpayers.

The National Foundation for Women Legislators and the Office Depot Foundation were also honored with resolutions during the session. Present during the event was Michael Morton, Executive Director of Nourish America, Mary Wong, President of Office Depot Foundation and Kevin Robertson, CEO of the Chance to Give Foundation. Representative Debbie Riddle spoke for several minutes about the important contribution Nourish America made during the crisis. It was quite a humbling moment for me and a proud moment for Nourish America.
After the ceremony, the resolution honoring our charity was signed by the Speaker of the House. Please find below an exerpt of the resolution. Click here to read the entire resolution.

We at Nourish America wish to deeply thank all of our supporters who made our Hurricane Ike Relief effort such a success and who made this honor possible, particularly: Connie and Dr. Julian Whitaker of Whitaker Wellness Institute, Raj Chopra of Tishcon Corp, Stephanie Rudat of the Alliance of Youth Movements, Tammy Faridi, Diana Blankman of Wyeth Healthcare Consumer, Thao Pham of Clif Bar Family Foundation, Joseph Salzone of Natural Organics, Sara Newmark of New Chapter, Bruce Sweyd of Alacer Corp, Anne Kazemzadeh of Kay’s Naturals, Maria Emmer-Aanes of Nature’s Path, Mary Wong of Office Depot Foundation, Robin Read of National Foundation for Women Legislators, Representative Debbie Riddle, Representative Patricia Harless, Carole Little of Northwest Assistance Ministry, Bobby Hanna of Univera, Susan MacGlaughlin of The Vitamin Shoppe, Dr. David Maccallan of Ideal Health, Mary Waldner of Mary’s Gone Crackers, Sarah Keck of American Nutriceuticals, Doug Jon es of Pharmavite, Al Powers of NOW Foods, Len Monheit and Jason Butterfield of NPIcenter, Dean Pipher of Muscle Tech, Joe Gilliams of BodyBuilding.com, Keane Tsu of Au’Some, Inc and Marsha Koehler of Protos, Inc.

Jesse James is a Dead Man on Spike TV
Sundays 10pm
From: David Sandler, david@strengthpro.com
Q. Tell us about your new show with Jesse James?
This show is really about Jesse James pushing the envelope by looking death square in the face and avoiding it. He wanted to test his ability across a gamut of adrenaline pumping tasks that would prove he is capable of hanging with the best and defying the odds. It has all the elements of a real guy show with crazy dare-devil type stunts, super cool explosions, and oh yeah, a little science here and there.
Q. How did you get the job?
Over the past 20 years I have been a strength coach, college professor, author, advisory board member, consultant, researcher, and event organizer. I have met so many fabulous people from all facets of the fitness industry and fortunately, through my large network of professionals, I have been involved in more then 30 episodes of television with National Geographic, Discovery, Fox Sports Net, and now Spike TV.
Q. What qualifies you for the show?
I’m basically a powerlifter turned scientist. So I guess if you take 1/3rd science geek, 1/3rd strength/performance expert, and 1/3rd self-proclaimed adrenalin junkie anyone will hire you!
Q. What kind of training does Jesse go through or is it all adrenaline?
Trial by fire, literally, is what Jesse uses to prepare. Over the many years Jesse has continually challenged himself forcing his body to adapt to tolerate the pain and handle the element of danger. In a sense, it is the common training rule of progression that everyone follows, except that his training is little over the top. When you couple that with his unique ability to remain calm, remove stress, and focus on the task at hand you have a person that truly lives on the edge but stays within his means. His knack of dealing with danger and handling stress is unparalleled in any person or athlete that I have seen.
Q. What kind of training and nutrition does Jesse follow?
He follows a general training protocol and concentrates on hydration when performing those difficult long duration tasks. While that is vague, it is not a secret, but unlike a football player or bodybuilder, task specific for him does not require strength or power, instead exercise is for reducing injury and maintaining health.
Q. What is your job as Scientific Advisor on the show?
My main job is to design and implement testing procedures for measuring the physical and physiological parameters of performance during the stunts and events. Jesse comes up with an idea, the producers build a show and I fit some science in. Due to the complex nature of some of the things we have done on the show, many times we either cannot measure what is happening, or our limited knowledge of how the human body responds under stress cannot explain why Jesse (and others) are capable of dong what they do. But we try, and I have found (not just on this series), that controlling the mind, having a genuine disregard for pain, and being able to think while under extreme duress are really the keys to being successful when danger or death is eminent.
Q. What is the next big thing for StrengthPro?
I just got finished filming Fight Science’s Third Season for National Geographic where a team of experts including Lead Scientist Dr. Cindy Bir, and myself (sports physiologist) examine all aspects of human performance from Martial Artists, Law Enforcement, All Branches of Military, and Self Defense Experts.
As well, another cool 2 show series will be coming out on National Geographic later this year called Humanly Possible, where we examine the ability of humans to perform what is thought to be impossible feats. Over the next several months, StrengthPro will be performing some of the very same tests that were shown on TV at the Europa Super Show, Olympia, and of course we are preparing for our 7th Annual Strength Summit at the Arnold Classic Sports Weekend in 2010.

A new DREAM middleweight champion failed to be crowned on Tuesday at DREAM 9, as Jason “Mayhem” Miller and Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza fought to a no contest in their headliner for the vacant title at the Yokohama Arena in Kanagawa, Japan.
Early in the bout, Miller connected with a kick to the top of Souza’s head while his opponent was on the ground, opening up a cut that would ultimately force the bout to come to a premature conclusion.
