Meridian, ID (Bodybuilding.com) June 24, 2009 — A bizarre little story unfolded today, as it was revealed that Hardbody.com owner Isaac Hinds up until today had never before tasted peanut butter.

Isaac’s “Peanut Butter Virgin” status was inadvertently made known during a routine visit to Bodybuilding.com headquarters in Idaho this afternoon.

When asked about his unusual former status, Mr. Hinds had no comment.  Upon leaving the building, however, several staff members noted a wide grin upon his face.

UPDATE: Rumor has it that Isaac subsequently made a run to a local convenience store to acquire some chunky peanut butter for an impromptu taste test before heading off to a BB.com softball game.  Creamy remains his favorite, however.  Welcome to a bold, new world of flavor, Isaac!

Today is the tenth anniversary of the horrific shooting spree and subsequent deaths of those children and teacher, at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado.  This is 20 minutes from my home, and I know and knew students (now adults) that attended at that time.  I did not know any of the victims.  I will say if you lived in Denver, Colorado or the Denver Metropolitan Area that there was not one face, not one storefront, not one business, school, or vehicle that did not aptly express the treachery and sadness that ensued that day.

I was four months pregnant, on bed rest on that day.  I watched it unfold on the television like most others did as well.  I believe since I was pregnant and I had a 6 year old son at the time as well, that I deeply empathized and ached over what occurred.  However, I am humbled and unbelievably thankful that no one I knew was involved, but I felt then, and I feel now like I did know someone, one of them, all of them.  The faces on the parents out in the parking lots waiting to hear if their child was one of the dead or one of the missing was torture.  It was not moments, it was hours and hours and hours.

Today for those that lost someone, for those that waited out in the parking lot, for those that crouched behind library bookshelves and watched a teenage girl get shot in the head for refusing to denounce her God, for the boy who, already shot and bloody, threw himself out of a window on an upper floor, and for those that thankfully got their children back… today is a opened wound.  The entire city reflects it, there are reminders everywhere.

I wanted to extend my continuing, heartfelt condolences and my gratefulness for my own and to send peace and well wishes to those aforementioned and those that are remembering.

Junior Nationals just finished with a bang in 2008 and now we are gearing up for the USA’s in Las Vegas on July 25-26th!  Las Vegas better watch out because there is a very strong force coming their way in a small, muscular package; Tracy Bodner aka  ‘IslandGirl‘ on many Bodybuilding and Fitness forums, is making the cross over from Figure competitor to Female Light Weight Body Builder at the USA’s this year! Tracy won the Colorado State Figure Overall title in 2005, and in 2007 she graced the stage in Vegas tighter, and more conditioned than she had ever been.  After a lower than expected (and undeserving) placing, and a National’s judge telling Tracy if she wanted to continue to compete in Figure she needed to do one thing… “Stop working out, stop going to the gym.”  As she was “much too muscular for figure.“  Refusing to accept that advice, and because bodybuilding is her true passion, she has made the grand decision to bring the absolute best LW body building  package to the stage in Vegas next month!

In addition to being a former figure girl to now sponsored by “TP”.com , lightweight female bodybuilder, Tracy, along with her husband and trainer/coach Cameron (aka ParadiseCup) are also HEAD Judges for the NPC, and have their own team of devout followers that they prep  known as the TeamSkipDivas.  So while Tracy is getting ready for the biggest stage showing of her career, she and Cameron also find time prep several male and female bodybuilders for the upcoming Masters Nationals where they have several clients competing this weekend!  Colorado Natural Open as well as other shows later this year,  In addition to many figure competitors as well (including myself).  Our entire group of over 20 competitors meets weekly for body composition, posing practice/stage presentation, and cardio and diet/nutrition updates at a secret location in Aurora, Colorado .  Having worked with such infamous greats here on bb.com as ctgblue, vivid04, BigBee101, and the Force, who recently was forced to withdraw from the MetRx Challenge with a high chance of winning!  They also train/prep those in other states via the wonderful   internet;   You can find out more about Tracy, see awesome video and pics and more here:

Tracy is certainly an inspiration to all of us figure competitors that belong to her; she is a very caring, sweet, kind and honest prep coach as well as a good friend; Tracy’s physique is a testament to her discipline and superb training, people are always in awe when they first meet her; and myself as well as all of us on her team wish her absolute success next month on stage in Vegas in her very smart decision to switch over to lightweight female bodybuilding, after all bodybuilding is her passion!  Go and Kick some ass Tracy!

Less than two weeks left, and I have seen a lot of hot, chiseled bodies around the gyms; lots of competitors getting ready for the MaxMuscle Mile High Natural Bodybuilding & Figure Championships in Englewood, Colorado… check it out!

A big congratulation’s goes out to Colorado’s Sara Hurrle; she won the overall title in her first show last summer, the Colorado Pro/AM, and now she has done it again; taking the overall title in the NPC portion of the California Pro! Sara is working with nutrition guru to the pros Kim Oddo, and she is now heading to Jr. Nationals in hopes of coming home a full fledged pro herself!  Great job Sara!
