Well, the first week of my new program has come and gone. I can honestly say I have NEVER been so sore in my life! Not sure if that says more about my general condition, or just the fact that I am not really young anymore. But I loved it. I loved being sore. It told me that I was working hard. I am so excited about getting into a structured program by someone who knows what they are doing. I’ve been reading as much as I can to learn more. I tell you, the more I read the less I know! LOL

The weekend is FINALLY here. So, no training at all this week in prep for my new program that I start on Monday. Started changing my eating this week, and of course it will get blown out of the water this weekend
Have a girls night out party I am going to tomorrow, so fun will be had this weekend. Hope everyone is doing great!

Happy weekend! Oh, I so needed the weekend. Work was so crazy this week. It seemed everything came at once and there was not time to even breath. Ugh! So hopefully they will slow down this week.
I’ll be taking the week off from training. My friend the trainer wants me to take the week off before starting the new program he has for me. He does want me to concentrate on eating more often and taking in more calories. He figured I had been taking in around 1100 calories during the week, and sometimes even less because sometimes I would only eat twice. He wants me to try for 5 meals a day and to get around 1500 calories for now. He said I probably need more, but that upping my calories too quickly would probably lead to too much fat gain. So, to say the least I am nervous but very excited!

Later today, I am going to meet with my friend who is a trainer. He has had me write down all my workouts and also chart what I ate for a couple of weeks. He is going to try and set me up on a program and suggest a nutrition plan. This is exciting because I have basically been directionless since I have started this, so some sort of plan I think, will be great!

I am sure most of you feel that same way, too! After work yesterday, I did my weight training, which was training the chest and hamstrings.
Lifefitness Chest Press : 3 sets of 10
Dumbbell Flys : 3sets of 12
Leg Curls : 3 sets of 12
Seated Leg Curls : 3 sets of 12
I finished off by riding the bike for 20 minutes.
I had a hard time sleeping last night because of the date tonight. It’s my first first date in 11 years! I’m nervious not so much about going out with this guy, he is pretty nice, but I have forgottten about dating. Just figuring out what to wear is driving me bonkers! And I was pretty bonkers to begin with! HELP!!!!!!!

OMG, I am so behind in updating my workouts! This was what I did on Wednesday:
Leg Press : 3 sets of 12
Lunges : 3 sets of 10
Calf Raise : 3 sets of 10
Life Fitness Shoulder Press : 3 sets of 10
Front Raises : 3 sets of 10
Then yesterday I did about 10 sprints, each about 30 seconds. I may have to stop doing these because my knees really ache today from them. Ouchie!
Tonight, I will workout my chest and hamstrings!

Oh, I was so tired for a Monday. It was so tempting to bypass the gym after work and just go home, but I charged on and went! Here is what I did:
Lifefitness Row: I did 3 sets of 12 reps
Lifefitness Pulldowns : 3 sets of 12 reps
Arm Curls : 3 sets of 10
Cable Curls : 2 sets of 10
Pressdowns : 3 sets of 10
Dumbbell overhead extentions : 2 sets of 10
Ok, I got through it. Now I am sooooo tired, I should sleep good.
And that guy frafter workom the pool party did call me tonight. He’s pretty nice I think. We’re going to meet tomorrow night for coffee in the evening. It’s not a weight lifting night, so it fits

No workouts at all today, either weights or cardio. I feel that at least one day off a week helps keep me fresh for the week. My knees are bothering me a bit after yesterdays walk, but I hope they are just tired and not damaged in any way. Tomorrow I will do weights after work. I will also have to work on eating more, definately a new concept for me.

Ok, it was an interesting night. So, I go to the pool party, and I wear a one piece…didn’t feel like putting myself out there with a bikini. So, I was good…I stayed away from the sweets, away from the alcohol and my friend Mallory, who was hosting with her and her hubby, was sweet enough to grill a chicken breast that I brought for me. So, that hurdle was cleared. But of coures, Mallory had a motive of getting me fixed up. SHe’s always like, you’ve been without a man for almost 2 years, you need to get out. She invited a single friend, and her hubby did too. SO, I had these two guys kind of feeling me out all night, which was REALLY weird for me. So, I take out around 11:15, and on the way home Mallory calls and said both the guys want my number. Oh my god! Well, the one her hubby invited I said nooooo to…he just seemed a bit too self absorbed. The other was seemed ok, so I said yes he could call me. But I said not to let him think that getting my number lets him get into my panties. Well, Mallory came up with the line of the decade by saying, "When was the last time someone besides Johnson&Johnson was in your panties?" I admit, that made me LOL like crazy!

It’s kind of interesting to get up on a Saturday morning and take a long walk around the neighborhood. It’s so still, really quiet and peaceful. I took a 45 minute walk around the general neighborhood and apartment complex instead of going to the gym and doing the treadmill…saves gas, ya know. I have a pool party to go to tonight. One of my really good friends is throwing it at her house, and she is basically dragging me kicking and screaming. I’ll probably be the only single gal there, which becomes kind of awkward after a while. I told here I would come, but I will stay away from any sweets and junk food.
