OMG I have been craving salt something FIERCE today! I hate this. Salty potato chips or fries with LOTS of ketchup (like, a packet per fry on Chick-fil-a waffle fries) is what sounds good to the taste buds. I say "to the taste buds" because I know my body will hate me as fiercely as I’m craving the salt, so I will say "NAY" to the craving! NAY EVIL CRAVING!!!! I am feeling horribly dehydrated although I’m not (like 2 litres downed in a 10 hour shift today) but I am running off to my workout before I zonk out. I have been feeling exhausted at the end of my days so if I sit for too long before finishing everything, it doesn’t get finished. Energy during my workout is great but afterwards or if I don’t get it out of the way…..
And the vanilla IntraPro…..yea, not a fan of vanilla. I’m about to start adding cocoa powder or something to it lol I’m LOVING everything else though Loving the vascularity in my arms (leanest part) so yay!

I spend far too much time on my front pose, as it’s horribly apparent in my severe LACK of awesomeness on my other poses lol SOOOOO now that Adam knows what to look for and how I should be doing it, my "honey help me with my posing" requests can be handled correctly. I really need to stop posing in front of the mirror and start going on feel since I won’t have any mirrors on stage. AND there will be LOTS of building and evening out shoulders and lats this off-season.

I’m on a roll!!! After work today I will hit the gym again, hopefully Adam will come too! While it was empowering to get there and have an awesome workout on my own (ok, and a good chat about motorcycles with the guys) I really like having my husband there with me.

I have made it to A.M. cardio 2 days in a row now, AND–this is the biggest part–just got home from an ALL BY MYSELF gym session. Like, sans partner in crime. FIRST TIME EVER that has happened. Adam is feeling SUPER crummy today, but went to the doctor’s office and should be feeling better in a couple days, but he stayed home in bed tonight. I will admit that it is a little scary going to the gym alone. All you gals that do it daily (Fern, Stormi, Pixi and Janet to name a few) MY HAT’S OFF TO YOU!! I’ve never been the type to go to the gym on my own, and always fizzled out when my partner did. However, I have no time to spare now, so I put on my big girl panties and did it (and how cute they are LOL)
I dug up an old routine and slightly modified it. I didn’t super set it (as I think this is fast-approaching anyways) and didn’t do quite everything, as it had been far too long in between meals and I was starting to fizzle out. I have good news in that I didn’t have to lighten ANY weights, and in fact, bumped several sets ^_^ Highlights include a set of 100lb deadlifts for 6 reps, 4 reps of 25lb dumb bell curls, 10 reps of 70lb tricep pushdowns, 2 pull ups, 4 reps of 110lb lat pull downs….ummm…I think that’s it. 95lb barbell rows x 8 reps. OH!!! And holy blown-out, road map-y forearms Batman!!! ^_^ I will totally have to get a picture next time. Man it felt good to be back in the gym, even if it was only 1/2 of the dynamic duo. Now, if you’ll pardon me, my cat is demanding attention.

First mission for the day was to get in a cardio session that I’ve been super slacking on. That mission is accomplished. Now on to laundry and finish the series I’m watching so I can get to sleep before 3 am tonight…I know, I know, it’s bad for my body…but I’ve been able to sleep until noon, so that makes up for it, right? *cringe* I know, I know, it doesn’t. That’s why tonight I’m getting back on track with sleeping patterns. I’m feeling better now so I’m not up all night coughing, but since Adam didn’t want the doc to call something in for him, he’s still been up. Guess he’s going to have to call tomorrow and probably go in. I love my stubborn man

Direct quote from my hubby. I get gift cards and discounts from VS so we’re always going in for something. That and my growing lats are countered by shrinking chest tissue. We all know that boobs are mainly adipose tissue unless you’re a new mother, so I knew this was going to happen as I leaned out closer to contest time, but it’s still quite upsetting to me. *SIGH* Oh well. In 7 weeks they’ll come back….

Ok, I couldn’t stand it any longer. That, and talking with DK for a bit helped kick me in the butt. 7 weeks left means that each body part gets 7 workouts before it’s show time. EEEEK! It’s funny how she puts things into perspective like that. Thanks DK!!
So we went for what is typically our Saturday workout–deadlifts, military press, lateral raises, front raises, upright rows. I didn’t cough as bad as I thought I was going to, so that was good, heated up real quick, and actually felt a bit better. Funny how that happens. I really need to remember that as motivation to get there. Once I’m there and going I’m good, but getting there (like getting up in the mornings) can be challenging. My shoulders are all sorts of stiff from sleeping propped up on the couch the last couple of days, but once I figured out correct form it was not so bad. I am excited because my form is improving and strength is not far behind. So with 7 weeks I REALLY need to get the am cardio going. I know I say this every week, but I have GOT to kick my butt into gear. I have to do it myself, too, because the one thing that Adam won’t do is cardio (at least not every day like I need to).

Most of you have read on my husband’s blog that we’re sick. Stupid cough and sinus issues. I cannot wait until I graduate so I can get out of the cesspool that is the pharmacy. SOOOO…..I’ve still been taking the CytoLean, but haven’t been training. I’ve missed work, missed the Indiana Jones midnight premier (SUCK!!!), missed the gym, I MISS BEING WELL AGAIN!! *headdesk* Hopefully I’ll plow through this soon and get back on my game. Time is running out!!

To review this first week on the Gaspari stack, let me start off with "There must really be something to this stuff." I say this because health wise this has been a bit of a trying week. I’ve been EXHAUSTED and now have a nice late-spring/early-summer sinus infection and laryngitis. HOWEVER, I have managed to lift more than I have before on just about every exercise. Granted I’ve been training now for about a year and a half and have gotten stronger as my form has improved, but this is like a switch has been turned on and I’m setting all sorts of records for myself.
IntraPro: I’m seriously considering getting some strawberries or something to throw in the blender with it. It’s a good base vanilla flavor, but I’m so not a plain vanilla girl. It’s light and fluffy and I’m forever leaving a finely dusted outline of part of my shaker, no matter how careful I am It mixes beautifully because of this, though. I bet it would be delicious in very cold milk, though protein generally doesn’t mix well in cold water.
CytoLean: I like this because there are NO jitters, random hot flashes (no Yohimbe to blame), tweaky feelings or anything. I will have to update my body stats tomorrow but I’m pretty sure it’s helping because I’m seeing my quads separate a bit more. I am noticing that I’m really starting to lean out in those places that lean out first, like forearms, back and calves, so hopefully the rest of me will follow suit soon.
PlasmaJet: I’m not lean enough to be all sorts of road map-y, but my forearms and hands have a few new veins showing through, and they’re definitely fuller when they do get pumped. It’s a bit of a pain to pop all 10 capsules out of the blister pack–but I think I’m just being lazy Typing gets my hands all vascular and it’s really fun to watch. I can’t wait until I start seeing my biceps follow.
SuperPump250: The taste is TART!! But it’s growing on me in that weird way that the pain of muscle building grows on ya lol. And "skin-tearing pumps" is SO TRUE! I’ve tried NOShotgun and Max Muscle’s Full Blown Extreme, and yes I feel fuller and pumped with those than without an NO booster, but it’s NOTHING like this. SuperPump also tastes the best.
SizeOn: LOVE the flavor in all it’s pineapple-instead-of-lemon glory. I drink it during my workouts and it’s been wonderful to me. Recovery between sets is good, energy during the sets is good. I’m not sure that I’ll be able to put any size on before the show since I’m not eating enough calories to have extra to build new muscle, but we’ll see how this maintains (and if I do magically grow that would be AWESOME!) what I do have. I’m very curious to try it in the off-season too and see how it helps to gain.
Overall, I’m also seeing my arms and shoulders look harder. My legs feel harder, but are still looking too soft. I still have 8 weeks until stage, so I think I’m on track. I’ll find out what DK says on Thursday. I’m very happy with these products and will be enjoying the next 7 weeks of training/reviewing.

Been kind of weird this week with being busy, so we’re a little behind in the workouts. Last night was the first run-through of legs. Squats rock! LOL I did 135 for 3 reps, probably could have gotten the 4th. I’m SUPER proud of myself for that. And they were deep, too The workout looked like this:
Seated Leg Extensions, 2×100 reps ("warm up") at 20lbs
Squats (2 light x 10 reps, 2 heavy x 2-5 reps), 45, 75, 95, 135
Hack Squats (3 x 10-15): machine weight, 10, 30 (I hate this machine)
Leg Press (3×30): 90
Seated Leg curls 3×15: 90, 90, 90
Standing Leg curls 3×10: 20, 30, 35 (my legs aren’t long enough for this machine lol)
Lying Leg Curls 3×12: 45, 50, 60
There’s been a sinus infection/laryngitis thingie going around work for a while now and I brought it home Both of us have it. I laugh only because it’s freaking May already and this shouldn’t be around any longer. I don’t think my docs will do anything about it (aka give antibiotics) until Thursday, which is the only day I can get in anyways, so I’m going back to sleep.
