Legs day tonight!! First, though, I want to say that Amy from "Biggest Loser" needs to stop whining, stop crying, stop the drama, and get voted off! Yes, the guys threw the weigh-ins, so what? Isn’t that the point of the game is to lose the most weight? Ok, I know, it’s to get people healthy and show them the healthy lifestyle, but there’s also the game aspect, and people are gonna play the game, fair or not. I’m not really addicted to the show (thanks, Honey) I promise…..
LEGS! I really wasn’t motivated to go to the gym after the show. I mean, I was, but not really. It ended up being one of those amazingly good workouts though. Weights were kind of light, because I had it in my head we do 3 sets and not 2. Well, two it is so we can actually finish a workout without being ill. Anyways, kept a fairly fast pace, I ended up with some time between sets in weight room vs cardio room and energy to burn. My bis didn’t hurt like my tris did, so I decided to do some low cable curls, then a max set and update some stats. 50lbs x 6 reps! WHOO HOOOO! I totally pwned. Goodbye 45!
barbell deadlifts 2×12 @ 65lbs
barbell front squats 2×12 @ 65
standing calf raises (on not cheating machine) 2×12 @ 140
Prone leg curls 50lbs x 12, 60lbs x 12
seated leg extension 50×12, 60×12
stiff leg deadlifts 40×12, 50×12 (felt great, should have gone heavier, but i made sure to squeeze each rep for all it was worth!)
Needless to say, my legs are shaking, and I think I like it Now any costume ideas involving heels are not going to be any fun tomorrow. That’s the beauty of leg day! No illness, not much fatigue. I finally found BodyWell’s First Order beta-alanine here at the bb.com store and ordered it. I absolutely love it for endurance and it actually tastes really good. Drinking it during my workouts and I’m not getting fatigued as early in the workout. Like I said, I finished killing the biceps during rest between leg sets! Rest time was enough to catch my breath enough to do the next set, take a couple sips, and get readjusted. Loved the pace, hope to repeat.

I know this is me being pessimistic, but really, who thought the Rockies would win? I hoped they would, but wasn’t betting on it. Did I think they would put up more of a fight, yes, but win? Not so much. It was fun, though. And I discovered a new "beer" at Old C’s last night. I’m a sucker for anything pumpkin. This wasn’t really really pumpkin, though, and it wasn’t beer either. Oh well. And it didn’t like me this morning, either. Could have been that plus the pint I helped finish before we left for Old C’s…but still. Didn’t make for a fun time getting up to do arms before wedding stuff…
Uber productive day for wedding stuff. My photographer is awesome! 4 hours coverage (longer if necessary), proof book, CD with full copyright release, 15% discount for being on her husband’s hockey team, plus free engagement pics session PLUS free "trash the dress" session later where we do fun shots in the dress without worrying about getting it terribly dirty. How cool is that? So, without prints yet (but only a few of those needed), we have all that for under $1500. Whoo hooo! Cake is ordered, too And registered, just need to refine/weed out duplicates.
And school…stupid nutrition class being so darn time consuming! Totally my fault for waiting until the day before it’s due, but still….

At least for the Rockies. They got pummeled. It’s not the end of the World (or Series, heh) but hopefully they can come back tonight and get some runs and more hits.

Peck workout B last night. And I’ve implemented a new abbreviation. There’s already BW for body weight, MW for machine weight. Now there’s WW: weenie weight. LOL Weenie weight is defined as: the lightest weight possible on that equipment. Typically it’s about 10lbs for machines. Weenie weight is used for flies, because I suck at flies. At least I’ve graduated from the 5’s (except for lateral delt raises. Darned small/weak delts) for flies. And although I’m still doing weenie weight for them, I’m feeling more isolation in the correct muscles, so that means that they are getting stronger and that I’m not cheating and that soon I will be increasing the weight.

Weather here is amazing. People golfed on Friday, I wore a tank top in nearly 80 degree weather on Saturday, and we got 3-4 inches of snow on Sunday. Today it’s cold, but the snow is melting, and there’s no snow on the ground here on campus, about 20 miles north of my apartment. This is typical, wonderful Colorado weather

The first snowstorm of the season is here! It’s great, except for my bald tires which are going to get me nowhere fast. So, gym today consisted of being picked up by Adam, then barbell squats and hack squats, and being ill. He’s going to drive me to work today. Hopefully school will be canceled tomorrow so I can join the madness and get new tires.
Snow is significant to us because the first time we met it was snowy. I also got snowed in for four days at his house about a week after we met. It’s a good thing his parents liked me. I was sure they were going to hate me. But it all worked out. Here’s the day after:

…how much I hate arms, too? Ok, so it’s really just that I hate working them. I like the pump, and I like the results. I love the pump from hammer curls. Nothing like feeling like my biceps are going to explode. And I like to flex in the mirrors between sets. I reeeeeally like flexing in the mirrors between sets, and not just my arms.
My poor, neglected abs. One set of 20 tonight. Weenie. I’ll post this week’s numbers tomorrow.

Wow are my abs out of shape!! I know you can’t tell from the pic, but still. I’ll let you all in on a little secret: abs have not been directly worked since March. This week has changed that. Two days of abs, another tonight, and boy are they tender. It’s good, though. Delts suck. They’re so weak on me, I hate it! But they’re getting worked, and boy do I feel them working, so I should be seeing more results soon. I know, I know, growth takes time. I’m not a patient person–at all–but this body building thing I think is going to teach me patience. Or kill me. Probably both
On another note, I’ve decided that it’s go-time for the diet. I know I’ve been slacking, and it shows. I’m not where I think I should be, and I know it’s all because of food. Granted, I’ve cleaned up my eating habits TREMENDOUSLY, but they’re still not that of a pro figure girl/fitness model. My shoot was a real eye opener for that. I know I’ve made tremendous progress (bye bye 4 pant sizes! Even my new pants are getting a bit loose) this year, but I feel that I haven’t capitalized on this year like I could have–all because I liked my junk food still. Lately I haven’t been wanting it though. Like when we went to the Cheesecake Factory after the shoot. We split the dish and dessert and as much as I HATE chicken, that was the first thing I went for! And when going for food options at work, I don’t want my mayo-laden tuna melt from Subway. I’m excited to see the results from adding this more-than-slight detail to the puzzle!

It’s a day that could be considered gloomy. I like to think that it’s perfect weather to lace up the skates and shoot some pucks around before the weather moves in! Unfortunately, I’m stuck at school, and I don’t have any outdoor wheels for my new skates *sigh* Oh well.
