I got to meet Phil Heath today at Vitamine Shoppe in Centennial this morning. Kris (the manager) called us and was like "Phil Heath is here for some meet and greet and I had no clue. Did you know anything about this?" to which we replied "Nope." Turns out some Gloria at corporate dropped the ball. But Phil was way cool and I wish we could have stayed longer but we had a family thing to get to… Just chatting about cars and his wife’s salon in Arvada and myspace and bodyspace and DU hockey. It was fun. I love the fitness world, because even the pros and stars are so down to earth and cool and real people. And I’m rambling.
OH!! And we stopped at Fay Myers (the bestest motorcycle dealership EVER) and sat on some BEAUTIFUL machines, some big machines, and I was able to stand them up no problem!! That made me incredibly happy, because it means that a) my dream bike is attainable and not horribly oversized for me, and b) leg days are good!!!
I discovered sumo dead lifts today. They’re beautiful in that they hit where I feel I need to work on desperately. And I did 50lbs hack squats today. We did a bit of a different style of lifting: 12 reps, 8 reps, 2-3 heavy then dropsets. I really like it, although my calves don’t. Don’t worry, little calves, soon you will be big and strong too *pat pat pat* I’m in a much happier mood
Food: not so bad today meals 1 and 2 were a bit late but everything else was fine, although I am done cheating for the week (2 cheat meals this week). Knowing that I have made progress is really helping the motivation.

Day 11 was a LAZY day after 30minutes on the stepmill. The half hour goes by really quickly with a book. I was amazed, actually. We didn’t get to legs last night which upset me. I was really in the mood to kill my legs, but oh well. We’ll do that this morning.
I was kind of in a funk yesterday. I think it was the doing nothing but inadvertently making my hair orange-ish (normally I like redder hair on me, but I was quite fond of the dark brown) and frying myself by the pool. After I missed my 12 o’clock meal things kinda went downhill (but I did get my other meals in fine). Meh, today is a new day and it will be fine….

Had a pretty good back/arm day. Bumped a few weights, or at least bumped set #2 on my arms and did the same weight for sets 2 and 3. That 45lb mark on curls is tough for me, especially for my wrists. That is one thing I miss about color guard in high school is the strong wrists. I had some awesome arms then too…. I will have amazing arms, though!
I’m a dork, and realized this morning that Jamie Eason has the pic of her and me in her myspace gallery! I’m thrilled that she has deemed me worthy to grace her profile like that!
Well, I suppose it’s off to bed now. G’night!

Is it weird that I am now dreaming that I’m just hanging out with fitness super stars like Jamie Eason? Or is it that I feel subconsciously that I am now part of that world? Either way, it made waking up exceptionally difficult.
My delts still hurt, and pecs have started to hurt now too.
Cheesecake Factory last night was actually not a cheat meal…the entree anyways: blackened salmon, rice and broccoli. It was yummy. Of course we cheated with dessert, but who can resist cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory? So that was cheat #1 of two for the week. As I said, not so bad this week compared with last.

My delts are quite sore today, and it’s a rather nice feeling. I don’t think I’ve felt this before. And lifting 5 lbs all day, back and forth, changing out the cassettes we keep our fast moving drugs in doesn’t help.
Diet went fairly well today, even though I did burn my pm pancake before I left this morning and couldn’t make another one. Good thing I have a ginormous tub of protein on my counter and a shaker cup in my sink. I am going out for dessert tonight: it is our 6 month anniversary tonight and exactly 6 months until our wedding! Other than that, I’m being good. This second week is going much easier than the first, so it will only get better from here. I’ve never actually gone on a strict diet before nor have I had an influence around me to stick with it, so this will be quite an accomplishment for me. I’m horribly excited….and I sound like a fat person…more like a skinny/fat person. Ummm, yea. Off to celebrate!

Today was a pretty good chest day. Hoorah for being pissed off at my mom about my wedding….for some reason she thinks it’s her wedding and wants to do it her way… f that. if his parents weren’t being so wonderful, i would take my dress somewhere, fly us and our best friends there for witnesses and just do it that way. Anyways, here’s my stats for tonight:
Chest/Shoulder/Abs Sets Reps weight
Wide Grip Bench Press 4 10/8/6/4 45/65/85/105
Incline Press 3 12/10/6 45+/65+/95
Decline Bench Press 3 12/10/6 60/80/100
Seated V DB Front Raises 3 12/10/8 10/10/12.5
Seated DB Lateral Raises 3 12/10/8 5/8/10
Wide Grip Upright Rows 3 15/12/10 30/40/50
Bumped everything but the upright rows. Need to bump just the first 2 sets of incline. I am actually feeling like I worked my shoulders tonight, and that’s a good feeling. Anyways, off to sleep. G’night!

Yes, I realize I skipped day 7. I didn’t actually skip it, I just didn’t get on my computer yesterday. I hit my new snooze button, then reset the alarm so I could sleep (after eating breakfast, of course). I had all my meals on time, even at work. After work it was leg day. Adam was going to make me do legs on Sunday after my hockey game, but a soak in the hot tub happened instead. That felt much better, so we did legs last night
Today I got up and did cardio. Now it’s time to cook and what-not before going to work.
And I’ll probably do a smaller show for my first one, after going to the Mile High show Saturday night. It’s a different level, and would probably be better for a first show.

Started an hour late, again. I didn’t set any alarms (bought a real alarm clock yesterday, just didn’t get it set up), but I didn’t get my wake-up call as requested either I really need to start taking care of that myself.
Yesterday’s workout was back and arms. My tris are SCREAMING at me this morning. And I have hockey at 2 today. This should be interesting.
We went to the Mile High National Qualifiers last night. It was interesting. I don’t feel as bad about having my weight in my rear/thighs. Actually, I still really don’t like it and I will get rid of it, but I am definitely not alone in carrying my weight there. And I’m thinking that I want to compete in lightweight building. Not to knock anyone, but the teen "builder" and one of the heavyweight master’s builders didn’t really look like builders. I realize this is a smaller show than the Shawn Ray, but really…. I know that, even right now, I have more muscle and more definition (but with lack of progress pics to show off, most of you don’t believe me) than they did. Most of the Figure ladies looked pretty darn good.

First off, day 4 recap: Went rather well, actually. I had a cheat meal for meal 3 and it was about an hour early, and other than passing out early and missing my last meal (well, I did down a protein shake with milk) I made it, despite going out and what not. Didn’t get to the gym, so we’re going this morning.
I really do suck at mornings, seeing as it’s an hour later than I intended to wake up and yea….maybe I should make meal #1 at 7 instead of 6. I got a LOT of sleep yesterday, maybe that’s my problem. I was up at 5, in the Springs by 715, lunch at 11 so my brother could eat after his scrimmage, home by about 1230, watched Disney’s "Robin Hood," napped, attempted to go to gym (failed), ate, slept. So yea, to the gym, then eating.

I actually woke up, with help from a phone call from my fiance hehehe. I’m going to Colorado Springs today to watch my little brother’s hockey game, leaving shortly, but I am making a pancake for meal 2. I got meal 1 on time Probably going to have my cheat meals today with my brother and his dad, but that’s ok. I’ve been good, even when stressed out yesterday at work. I had a shake for my last meal last night, because I have to go to the store to buy more meat. Other than that I followed my diet exactly so far. Last night was a night off of lifting. Tonight is back/abs and a bit of cardio I believe, since I didn’t get to the gym before 5am to do it before starting my day.
