Early Morning Workout: Meal or No Meal

I workout first thing in the morning, around 5-530 am….should I eat something before I lift.  I am doing the Body for Life regimen and taking Xtend (Hyped up BCAA’s) Pre and during my workout.  I don’t mind cardio on an empty stomach, but I think my workouts are lacking because of energy…Then again, I think it may just be that I need a shot of caffeine to wake up before hitting the gym…I feel like I am getting a workout, I just don’t feel as focused or alert.

Any ideas or advice?

Sodium Intake

So far my body for life challenge is going great.  I am struggling to get to my 2500 calorie requirement for fat loss.  I have not been struggling to eat good.  So I guess that is a good problem.

My real problem is my sodium intake.  I have just tracked my calories a couple of days, and realized that my sodium intake seems high.  Around 3500mg.  I don’t know if maybe this is the norm trying to eat as much as I have to or what.   I know cottage cheese is on my good protein list in the Body for Life, but each serving has 450mg.  Ouuuucccchhhhh!  

 Any recommendations or advice would be much appreciated.
