I wonder if there are any pros or cons to doing calves first to make sure I hit them hard, then do quads/hams…

Choose your priorities
Your priorities are not determined by what you say they are. Your most genuine priorities are expressed by what you actually do with your life and your time. Look around you, and you’ll see very clearly what your priorities have been up to this point. Those priorities have brought you to where you are right now.
If something is truly a priority for you, you absolutely are able to find a way to reach it. If it’s not a priority, it’s probably not going to happen for you. You can set your priorities and you can change them at any time to be whatever you choose. But merely wishing for something does not make it a priority. The priorities that are really priorities are the ones that dictate where you focus your awareness. The priorities that truly matter are the ones in which you invest your interest, your attention and, most importantly, your action. You can follow whatever priorities you choose, and in every moment you are constantly choosing. Remember, as you go through each day, to choose those priorities that will bring the special joy and fulfillment that is yours to live.

I have a transformation contest ending a week from this saturday(not the MuscleTech one). What types of routines should I be doing, and what should my diet look like for the last week up to photo shoot?
Thanks.

I have to tell you about my new plan and see if you guys can pick it apart or do whatever. I have been feeling so run down these last few weeks. Not just run down, but phyically exhausted and tired! Even after I took a week off two weeks ago. I discussed it with my wife last night, and she seems to think that I am not eating enough/getting enough calories. Even though I am eating 6 times a day as prescribed, she said when she did the program a few years back, she was eating the same amount I am now and she dropped a bit of weight, and she weighed quite a bit less than I do now. So that leads me to believe I may need more calories. This could be true because I feel I am losing muscle at the same rate I am losing fat, and I do not want to lose the muscle. I definitely would like to gain/maintain muscle at this point for the next few weeks until the end of the contest and I have my shoulder surgery in the beginning of July. I will definitely be in Hoss/Gain mode after the surgery, I can’t wait for that! But in the meantime, I think I am going to try and get a few more carbs in, because I don’t think the fist full of brown rice or sweet potato, or sugar-free yogurt is cutting it. Any tips/comments/suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks for your support.

was tough enough to get out of bed this morning and hit the gym at 530 and get my chest/tri workout on. I then chugged 42grams of whey protein and did 30 mins of HIIT on the eliptical. I felt so energized when i was done. I am thinking about taking a jog later this evening for my second cardio. I will shed this fat!

Good morning. I’m not cheating myself today!
I would say I slept in, but I was up 5 times during the night with my 7 month old.
I am doing photos and stats tomorrow, but I actually jumped on the scale this morning, and I am down a couple pounds from my last stat day two weeks ago.
I had a great leg workout last night. Feeling the effects today. Today, I have shoulders on tap. Should be a good one.
I hope everyone has a great weekend.

I was at the gym at 5 this morning for back and bi’s and then 20 minutes of HIIT and 10 mins of uphill walking! It was a very good workout! I feel the calories melting already.
I am caving in this payday to buy new pants. The ones I have don’t look too professional anymore since they are a bit baggy. I figure instead of throwing them out, I will keep them as a reminder of what used to be. I will try them on once a week to remind me of how big I once was!

Does anyone else do cardio and lift on the same days during the week. If so, how do you split it up. I am trying to step up my game, but not lose more muscle in the process. If anyone could post a typical week other than the Beginning BFL 101 Style, I would much appreciate it. I have that down pat, but I am ready to move on. I want to hear your successes and failures with doing more/too much! Thanks for all your help.
