It was my first time doing bent over barbell rows and deadlifts today and although the lifts were low weight I got the hang of them quick and really felt it in my back. Got wait till next week as I’m sure I will make some real progress with the weight as I try to ascertain my limits. I had some trouble with my grip and felt that I wouldn’t be able to handle the weights I needed to lift, but I had a pair of straps in my bag that I bought previously. I hadn’t been able to use them with any success before but me and my friend Gavin spent some time fiddleling and farting about with them until we finally got the hang of it.
So in all we had a really successful session and I know that with these two all important exercises in our routines, we will be heading for some super gains.

I had no success dragging my friend to the gym on Monday, so I decided to lay off him for a while and get back to reaching my goals. Went to the gym with my wife yesterday for the first time, she has been going for a while now but she has been upset with her progress. As my gym partner is on holiday at the moment I was glad of the company and I had wanted my wife to train with me for weeks. She was clearly struggling to raise her intensity, and after reading many encouraging posts from you girls she had added motivation, as a result she was amazed at how far she could push herself.
She really begun to realise what was needed from within herself to achieve her goals and came away exhausted but excited by the progress she made in just one session. Can’t wait till our next session together.

I have not started my training fully since my return from holiday as I will start in earnest next week when my daughter returns to school, but today I will try to encourage a friend who is showing a real urge to go but lacks any motivation. In the past I have tried gentle persuasion but today I’m gonna try bullying him, as I know he’s desperate to change he’s body as lacks so much confidence. Hope all goes well, I’ll keep you posted.
