My first day of Jiu Jitsu class at Hands Up

Today was my first day of Jiu Jitsu training. I was unable to make it to the gym today however I did have a 1 1/2 hour Jiu Jitsu class tonight. Holly Cow… I feel like I got the cardio of a three workouts in one day. The instructor was Jeremiah Rodeman. Jeremiah is a well trained MMA instructor. I can see now why he is HANDS UP’S #1 instructor. I look forward to tomorrows class.

Working out at 2500 feet in elevation sucks!

While I was on a short vacation I worked out at a local gym.

The gym is at a elevation of about 2500ft. For all three days my lifting stats or maxes dropped by 5 to 20 Lbs per rep. I was eating the same as at home, taking the same supplements and doing the same workouts as at home.

Dose the elevation make a difference in how much you can lift?

I live at about 80 ft. above sea level, so there was about a 2420 change in elevation.

I am leaving on a 4 day vacation in the morning.

I will be out of town for the next 4 days however I have made all the nessary plans so that I do not miss a single workout. Also I have packed food for just me for my diet. I am extremely dedicated to my body transformation.

I just did cardio today. I took the day off from the gym. I worked on everything I needed to do during the week. So I played full court basketball for 1 1/2 hours at 0800 this morning. My legs are pissed at me because I worked on my legs last night until 2145. Not much recovery time.

Progress check day will be Mondays.

I am planing to make Mondays my tape days and progress photo day. I know that to start it will suck feeling and looking fat. However, I think that it is important to do. I wont to be able to look back and see all the steps and say WOW!                  By documenting it I can show others a step by step plan that worked for me. You never know it mite work for them to.
