The QB does not even have to be very good. Just a Vet who knows what hes doing and a good leader.

Much agreed Mike. The only thing they have needed for the last tens years is a QB that can have a little leadership and stop hoping for a miracle with some half ass second string worthy guys.

They have taken so long waiting for Grossman, Orton, and even Greise there for a while to grow into a starting QB. Well, its been how many years. While they have been waiting on offense the defense has been aging. The GM needs to do a huge overhaul. They are not doing themselves any good by switching QB's every few weeks waiting for one to beat out the other. Neither are the answer and neither have established a leadership role with the offensive unit. They need to go find a veteran leader and draft a mid-to-late round, overlooked QB that has the intangibles to be an NFL QB. Some of the best QB's come in the late rounds (ie Montana and Brady) and spend high round picks over the next few years to keep the O and D line fresh and build depth with the defensive unit.

i'm a bears fan and you are right we need to get rid of the QB's we have and get someone in there that can throw the dam ball. Hester is one of the fastest dudes in the NFL and is constantly underthrown by Orton. I just think the defense is discouraged and over worked. if we get a QB we will definitely be making big moves. i'd love for us to pick up McNabb.
