Stagnant
Okay, i´ve been training for just over a month now an have put on just over four pounds and I think i´ve lost some fat too, so i´m hoping that all the weight i´ve put on is good weight. I am however a little concerned that all the weight went on in the first three weeks and not much after that, is it normal to gain weight and size in spurts? I realize that if i´m burning fat at the same time as gaining muscle that my weight gains won´t be a true reflection of my progress, but it does give me a bit of a kick in the teeth when i´ve been working my ass off in the gym for two weeks, then weigh myself and find no change, not a single damned ounce! Does this sounds familiar? or normal? Any comments would be much appreciated, Fogg.

Hey Foggster,
Weight gain is a strange thing, i would say that 75% or more of it is done outside of the gym, ie, in the kitchen!
When you first start weight training your body will drop some fat and pick up muscle no matter how or what you’re eating or supplementing with. However as time goes on, you’ll find you spend more time planning your diets than your workouts.
Remember with every kg of muscle that goes on you gotta increase your protein intake to sustain it. I’ve seen sooo many guys hit plateaus, and when you ask them about diet you find out they’re still eating the same protien as when they were 5kgs lighter!
My advise every week, increase your protein intake by 10grams or , you can’t have too much protein!
Train like a freak, eat like an animal, grow like a monster!
