Supplements & High Blood Pressure

I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I am taking some supplements, which can be found on my profile. I have been taking them for about 3 months now. Last Monday I had a check up at my doctors and found that my blood pressure has gone up to 118 over 92. Six months ago it was 109 over 70. I have stopped taking the supplements and drinking coffee. I eat pretty good, plenty of fruit, veggies, chicken, beef, soy products lots of water, etc. If it does start dropping back down to the way it was, then I will slowly start the supplements back up and continue checking my blood pressure to see if I can pin point the cause. I check my blood pressure now every morning as soon as I awaken, still laying in my bed. Has anyone had similar problem to what I am experience?  Thanks!!

Unfortunately, there is always a risk of side effects with any supplementation. If you are putting any chemical into your body, there will be a reaction, and not everyone reacts the same way. You can also use the same supplement that you have previously used, and get a whole different reaction. You are doing the right thing by assessing yourself and adding these supplements back in slowly. Your heart is one thing you shouldn’t mess with (obviously, lol!) Hope all goes well with you! Good luck!!! :0)

I started exercising so I wouldn’t have high blood pressure. So far it’s working and mine has come down. I’m not taking any supplements at all. I just don’t see the point in spending money when exercise does the trick. (in due time) Good luck and have many great workouts. Your looking good. Wish I could have drop the weight you have but I don’t eat just right. Catch you later, Bruce

I as well battle with an up and down BP. Mine is usually the lowest first thing in the morning. ie; 135/75, but in the evening it is the highest, circa; 145/85. When you start the supps back, do them one at a time. It might be one that is causing the increase, or a combination of some. Go slowly and hopefully you will find it’s an induced BP increase. I had a real problem just recently and found CLA doesn’t do well in my system. Hope this helps. Merry Christmas!
