Pushing 315 for reps….
I never in my life thought I would be able to say those words…Today was chest/biceps day and I wanted to push myself hard….well as I got into my flat bench press I was feeling pretty good with the weight and reps…did 275 6 reps (no spotter)…so I felt like going for 315…putting the 3rd 45 lb plate on each side of the bar sent a smile across my face like I havent seen in a long time….one problem….no one to spot me….WTF? What was I going to do…..so I was forced to ask the kid who cleans the gym during the day for a spot….the result…
315 lifted…..TWICE!!!!!! I believe I could have gotten 2 more reps if I felt the kid wouldnt let me drop the weight on my neck….But, to lift 315 twice was a big step for me today and I loof forward to hitting the 400 lb some time next year….
