April 12th…..

Saturday was interesting…I worked two overtime details for a total of 11 hours of overtime…I’m a overtime working fool….

The first detail I did foot patrol around Arundel Mills Mall…its one of the largest malls on the east coast and walking one time around it is approximately a mile…well it was so busy I probably walked more than 5 miles yesterday…does that count for cardio?

The second detail I worked again at Dave & Busters…they hosted a large motorcycle club for a private party and wow….I need to learn to ride a motorcycle because the ladies were HOT…anyway it was nice to have some attention thrown at officer friendly…really starting to look a lot better in my uniform….add the party got to see me do the cha cha.. (the crowd went nuts)..the evening went well…..

Sunday I am doing shoulders/abs….stay tuned…

April 11th…

Today was a pretty decent day…minus the fact that I only got 2 hours of sleep between morning and afternoon court….but I was able to get to the gym and did back/shoulders/triceps today…I’m thinking I should start listing my whole workouts here? What does anyone think? I’ve been meaning to start tracking my workouts because my weights have gone up a bunch since I’ve been back in the gym.

I will be working overtime and a local hotspot tonight called Dave & Busters so I won’t be getting in until late…saturday will be a rest day because I am working 11 hours of overtime…should be fun boys and girls…

*note to people who consume large quanities of alcohol. When an officer of the law tells you to shut your mouth and leave….do what he/she says…give your beer muscles a rest. Someone had to test me last night…lets just say he got the short end of the deal….lol

April 10th…

Today I had my measurements taken at Golds Gym….I have posted them on my profile.. Since January I have gained 2 lbs but lost several inches…whats more important? I know that some of the fat is being replaced with muscle, but I would still like to see some more weight come off….I will get measured again at the end of april…

Today was chest/biceps days. I did a 10/8/6/4 on the bench press…the weights I did was 225 (10) 245 (7) 255 (6) 275 (4). For some reason the first rep is really hard…I think my mind is telling my body there is no way I can lift that much weight, but once I get going its much easier….I should of had a spotter for 245 and I would have gotten that 8th rep…I did incline dumbells and then cable movements to finish off my workout…

I finished today with switching from triceps to biceps….I like doing this….my triceps are already pumped from doing chest so hitting the biceps my arms feel HUGE! I finished with 26 minutes of cardio…I will get to 30 minutes!

Not sure if anyone is reading these posts….but they are fun to right!

 

 

 

Leg Day…

Wednesday, April 9th, 2008

Today was leg day and I was actually looking forward to it….I started off with power squats (free weight plate loaded machine). I worked my way up to 450 for 2 sets of 10 reps. I need to be doing regular squats, but for some reason getting into position and attempting to hold on to the bar my shoulders kill me so I haven’t been able to work them into my leg workouts…if anyone has suggestions I all ears…

I continued my workout with leg press, hamstring curls, dead lifts, and ended with leg extentions. I again still need to add more shaping movements….

*contest note* I will be getting a check up on my weight and all my measurements today when I hit the gym….stay tuned for the info…

Today is chest…and I am gonna switch it up and do 2 movements for biceps instead of triceps…

Tuesday…

Wednesday, April 9th, 2008

Tuesday went like I thought it was going to go…I spent all day in court and was able to crawl into bed around 4 pm….another 45 minutes and I would have been awake 24 hours. Priceless….I slept until 930 and it was back off to work…

Weds or today will be leg day…I am looking forward to it and will be pushing myself very hard today…."Go Big or Go Home"…

Sunday and Monday….

Monday, April 7th, 2008

Sunday went well with a very good tricep/chest workout followed by 27 minutes of cardio. My wrist is a little sore from the last time I did close grip bench so I did not do that this time…

I work sunday night in monday morning followed by morning court so I only got a little over 4 hours of sleep before it was time to pick up the kids from daycare…I was able to get the wife to join my in the 8 pm zhumba class that I liked so much and after an hour of dancing my butt off I was beat…

*contest note* still have to upload my before pic with the national newspaper as requested…will try and get in done in the morning as I am working tonight…

Tuesday will be a rest day or if I get out of court in time to get some rest I will be doing a round of cardio…no lifting…

Weds will be leg day…

Two more days…

Sunday, April 6th, 2008

Friday April 4th sucked….spent all day…over 5 hours in various doctors offices with my sick children….looks like they have caught the bug thats been going around…hope I dont get it….well after all of the running around I had no energy or time to get a workout in so…I didn’t…its funny how bad you feel when you been on roll working out when you miss a workout….like someone hurt your feelings….tomorrow its back on the grind!

Saturday, April 5th went much better…did biceps/back workout and decided that I would follow a bicep workout that I read in maxium fitness magazine…the workout focused two of the four movements with the E-Z curl bar….I still feel the pump 12 hours later…finished my workout with 25 minutes of cardio..

Saturday night will be my first night back on midnight shift…

*contest note* I’m new to this bodyspace site and am still working my way around it…I was checking my comments and observed someone from the contest telling me I need to take a before picture with a "National" publication….will try and get this done this morning (sunday 6th)…I would have been pissed if I missed this and lost the contest because I didn’t follow the rules…couldn’t they have sent me an email telling me of my mistake?

Two days worth….

Todays entry is for April 2nd and April 3rd…. On the second my legs were still sore from the dance class, but I did my leg workout anyways. My leg workouts have gotten harder, but I need to add more shaping exercises to the mix…ie lunges ect….I did not do cardio today…which I normally do not do on leg day… April 3rd was a good day….I started out by getting more work done on my tattoo, which is coming along quite nice….Baltimore Tattoo Museum if anyone is in the area looking for a tattoo… I did shoulders today and had a great workout even know my chest was sore from the tattoo…I had planned on returning to the gym at 8 pm to take the dance class again, but my wife wanted to go out to dinner to celebrate her new job…so you know you won out…(I did eat pretty good) Tomorrow is biceps/chest day…looking to go hard and heavy…we’ll see how it goes….

A day late…March 31st, 2008

I’m still not sure what exactly I am supposed to writing in here, so I apoligize for rambling sometimes…

Yesterday would have been my parents 30 year wedding anniv….my mom past away on March 15th 2008 and I miss her so much everyday….everyone needs to know that life is cruel sometimes and enjoy everyday….because you never know what tomorrow can bring.

I called it about my sleep…I was unable to fall asleep until 1 am so the morning cardio session was scratched for another hour of sleep. Once training was done I wasnt going to be able to hit the gym until late and really didnt feel like going……but…..

I went and decided that I would take the 8 pm zumbha (sp) class….all I can say is dancing is a lot harder than it looks because at 1011 this morning my body is hurting…this class was amazing and I will be taking it again…the additional cardio is a plus and a huge help.

today…april fools….will be a rest day…and thats not a joke…because of the wonderful department I work for I have training from 2 to 10 pm and then work midnights until 730 am…..gotta love the bs…
