Olympia Weekend!

September 24, 2009

It is finally here and I am SO looking forward to it! I have been going every year for the past 5 years! There is nothing better than walking around with some of the most amazing fit people in the world! It is so motivating and boy do I need a kick in the @ss right now!. I have gotten to the point where I am just TIRED of being fat. I am starting to see the fit lifestyle in a totally different way. It is not about going on a diet, it is about living the lifestyle. I have wanted to compete or at least work at the expo for too darn long.

Here is my pledge:

I, Tara aka FitnessPeanut,  will finally get into the shape I have always dreamed of. I will live the lifestyle and finally learn to love myself. I will stop letting my mind get in the way of my dreams. I will not use food for comfort and I will not let food control my life. I will compete next year and I will get hired to work at the Olympia 2010 Expo!

X Fitness Peanut :)

Fresh Start..

September 12, 2009

I realized today how much motivation and dedication I have when I stay current on Bodyspace. Blogging, checking out the forums and talking with other members really helps to keep me on track. A healthy body doesn’t come from training and cleaning eating alone, it starts with training the mind. That is where my downfall has been since I first realized I was "overweight" back when I was a kid. It was only until last year when I broke through the 160-170 weight range that I have maintained since I was in high school. My wedding day was a big help to do that and even though I still had weight to lose, weighing in at 135 that morning was such an achievement. I swore I wouldn’t gain it back and month after month, I watched the scale go up. Honestly, I didn’t really try to do anything about it either. Now here I am 20lbs heavier and starting over. But I want to look at it in a different light. Not as if I am starting a "diet" or starting to "lose weight" again. I want to see it as "Time to start eating clean and training because I love it and because I want to be happy and love myself".

So, I bought a mini camcorder and I am going to try some video blogging along with my forum posts and bodyblogs. My ultimate goal would be to compete in my first competition and I am hoping that will be next year. For the remainder of this year, I am going to focus on getting my weight down around 125 and then evaluate from there. I have tweaked my eating plan a bit. I don’t need to be competition strict right now as my body will respond to just eating clean.  Especially since I will be cutting out some bread and the not so good for me carbs :) Mmmmm…except the occasional bagel…I love bagels!

This is what it will look like for the next few weeks.

Meal One (pre-workout) - 1/2 scoop whey w/ 4 oz skim milk

Meal Two - 1/4 cup oats, 1/2 scoop whey, 5 egg whites

Meal Three - Md. Apple, 6oz low fat yogut

Meal Four - 4 oz chicken, 1 cup brown rice, low sodium V-8

Meal Five - 5 egg whites, 1 oz almonds

Meal Six - 4 oz chicken, 2 cups salad, 1TBSP olive oil, 1 TBSP balsamic

Meal Seven - 1 scoop whey w/ water

I just got my new order of supps from bb.com:

My usual order and my favorite protein: 4Ever Fit Mango Whey (SOOOO good!!) & another order of Lean Dreams.

I also got a few things that I haven’t tried before: BSN Lean Dessert - two jugs - Cinnamon Roll & Banana Nut Bread. I also got SciVation Watermelon Xtend.

:) FP
