Well, I worked out my legs pretty hard today, so that is my reasoning for what I am about to write about….I FELL OFF a balance ball doing some crunches. Yep! that damn thing slid out from underneath me and I fell right on my ass.
The funniest part is that people saw me do it, and there was no response. Of course I was laughing, because it was funny! Sometimes I wonder if the lights are on for some people. Maybe they are just too cool to laugh. Or maybe it is the lack of carbs. Or maybe it is just that I am easily entertained by silly things like that.
I know we are all "supposed" to look cool when we go to the gym, but sometimes you just have to laugh at the silly things in life. Otherwise you turn into the uptight, overtanned, bleached blonde who scowls at you for smiling as she has to actually do her job and scan your membership card. (I just had to vent about her too, so annoying!)

Although I love exercise, I mostly love what it does for me creatively. I have been drawing my whole life, and I am currently finishing an art course. I have learned that as you get older it is harder to get your creativity to work for you.
Sometimes it is working at 10pm when I really want to sleep(like last night), but I have an idea that just won’t let me sleep. Or sometimes it isn’t even working. Creativity doesn’t happen when you schedule it like a workout.
However, I have noticed one thing about creativity, it works when you clear your mind. I am not one to just sit there in silence for hours, I have two kids!
I learned that it doesn’t matter what you do to clear your mind, but it just needs to be YOUR time. So I get my body moving. For example, while I am working out I competely clear my mind for 45 minutes, and then magically after that workout I get tons of ideas, so many that I can’t write all of them down.
Fitness just helps you do everything better!
