Just finished up with my last true cheat meal this weekend… I’m 122 days from the Empire classic and the carb cycling has begun… Only two days with any carbs and they are clean clean clean from here on in. I’m very excited to get rollin’ on the new routines. I heard a great way to look at my workouts as time passes this season; I have only 16 more leg workouts, 16 more arm workouts, and maybe 2 more cheat meals before the show… better make every rep count.
Cant wait to get established this year!

Week one of dieting prepping for The Empire Classic which is now 19 weeks away… I have goals of losing roughly 12% body fat and 25lbs before that date. I am following the metabolic diet, which so far has really been pretty great
Can’t wait to start looking like a competitor again. It was amazing how fast my weight and water all came back… This season I have two shows planned, the Empire and the Oregon Iron Man. Both of which I am entering into the fitness category. I may possibly dual entry depending on how the show is organized.
As far as training goes I am continuing to lift 5 days a week, I’m only doing cardio 3 days a week for now. I’m sure I’ll be picking that up very soon.
So motivated for this season!!
New Pics coming…

Three weeks to go. I’m feeling good. Posing routine is the roughest part right now. I feel so uncomfortable and completely awkward. Hopefully it doesn’t appear so. I am thinking of changing songs for the routine though, so if anyone out there has any great songs that you’ve heard this season let me know. For right now I am using the song "she moves her body like a cyclone" its just a little to upbeat, makes me want to dance and shake it, lol. That wouldn’t be good
Can’t wait to finish this thing. I’m tired, and hungry. It will be great to get some carbs back in the mix. It’s funny how keen my sense of smell has become now a days though. I can smell EVERY kind of food within ten feet of me. its funny!
Just finished my first round of cardio for the day. I’m off to shower and head out to work. I have new pictures, when I have the time/energy to post them I’ll get those suckas on here…
counting down!

I am still prepping for my competition coming up on Nov 3rd. It’s crazy to think that I have been dieting now for 21wks… I’m SO ready to have the off-season.
Things are coming together really well now. I have finally started to see the separation that I was looking for a few weeks back. Its looking like I will be in great shape for Tacoma. I will be headed down to seven feathers next weekend to see my good friend and trainer compete. It will be bitter sweet since that is the show that I initially was training for. It is what it is I guess.
My training has stayed consistent I notice a lack of strength the past few weeks. I’ve been on no carbs and cycling fats in and out of my diet so my energy levels come and go. More go than come these days :p Still lifting high volume low reps to try and preserve my mass while dieting without carbs. Cardio is the devil! I am up to two sessions of 70mins each day. Thank goodness I have a job that permits me to spend 3 hrs working out most days, yikes! It’s all part of the process though.
I’ll post pictures this week, I just have to figure out how to upload them from my phone

4 wks til Seven Feathers which I am now not competing in! I am so dissapointed in myself. I have been training hard and dieting for a while now and I won’t be in shape for this show. I’ll be competing at Tacoma still, but I am mad that I didnt get to where I needed to be. I guess I wasn’t working hard enough.
At least now I know that for the remaining seven weeks that I have for Tacoma I have to turn up the heat; train harder, diet stronger, and REST MORE. I have been working an insane schedule with three jobs and coaching and without enough rest I have been way down in strength, energy, and I’ve definately been a brat!
Work to do, and Rest to get, I’m out like a light yo!
Everyday will be a push…

Six weeks to go ’til seven feathers, 9 weeks ’til the Tacoma show. I’ll be pushing it to get my body fat where it needs to be at the seven feathers show, but I’ll keep working for it.
I am dieting on the Palumbo diet. NO CARBS! It was really hard at first, then it became routine. Now, I’m just tired of dieting… Just feeling a little burnt out. The funny thing is that even after my shows, I won’t be done dieting. I’ll have a bit more leniency but hardly. I’ll pretty much never go back to the way I ate in the past. Which is SO GOOD for so many reasons, but so tough to think about at times too.
Training is going well I’m not lifting as heavy, but with just as much intensity thanks to Alex. When I’m not training I just want to relax, I feel so lazy! It’s not normal for me to constantly just want to find a chair, lol.
Started learning poses this week, lets just say that I look like a complete idiot. I’ll get it down though, if theres anything that I am confident in it is that I will have a great stage presence
I ordered my suits this week. I ordered three from various websites. One is very a simple green two piece, crushed velvet no crystals, One is a burgundy purple color crushed velvet with multifaceted crystals along the border of the suit, and the last one is black spandex (i think) with gold crystals. I cant wait to see them!! I’ll get two of them this week hopefully!

8 weeks to go. Diet and Training are just a part of the routine now. I’m in cruise mode from here on. Body fat is coming off and I’m preserving as much of my lean mass as possible.
Morning cardio on an empty stomach, afternoon Lift, and evening cardio before bed…
I start posing practice this week. I have an apt to get measured for my suits this week also. It’s all coming together now. It’s time to put my head down and drive! Two months ’til I get up and show what all this hard work was for…
I’ll have more progress pics soon.

I’m almost at the end of my nine week point… I am feeling alright. Tired of dieting. It’s never been a strong point of mine. We just changed up the meal plan. NO CARBS at all for a bit, we’ll see how I do. I can tell you that I have been tired a good part of the week. I think it was just an adjustment period though, I’m feeling much better today.
Training is going well, I am still lifting 5 days a week cardio on all 7 days. Body composition seems to be going in the right directions, so we are happy with that.
Sorry not much else to blog about really, I’ll just keep working and hope for the changes to happen in time
