5-19-08 Upperbody Abs and Cardio OH MY….

Monday, May 19th, 2008

This morning’s workout was another good one as I pushed myself to a new level. I worked Upperbody and  finished with HIIT cardio for 20 minutes.   I am pretty sure that I am going to add additional cardio to my routine over the next couple of weeks with the treadmill we now have.

Everyone in the family LOVES the new treadmill( I can’t get on the darn thing between my wife and 4 kids I have not shot!)  I am glad to see all the excitement around it and hope that it becomes a good friend of the family over the next couple years.

Welp, I do not have much more to share this evening I am exhausted and about to go relax, watch a movie and rest up for tomorrow mornings EXTREME CARDIO day. ( Oh yeah I said EXTREME!!!!)  Read my blog tomorrow to find out what in the world "EXTREME CARDIO" is.  … to be continued……………………………..

5-18-08 New Member to Our Family!! Plus Great Leg workout!

Sunday, May 18th, 2008

I would have to describe today in one word: AWESOME!

First, I got to SLEEP IN. I didn’t have to go to the gym until 7:45 this morning, which is about three hours later then when I normally go in. Don’t judge me! The gym doesn’t open until 8:00 A.M. on Sunday, so I have a really good excuse as to my extra sleep.

Secondly, my leg work-out R-O-C-K-E-D. I do what I normally do (see previous blog entry), but I blew my leg muscles until I thought they were going to pop right off of the tendon. Yeah, ouch.

Third, I came home to my beautiful wife, my wonderfully transformed house and my hyper-glorious kids and had breakfast with them.

Fourth, I got a FREE TREADMILL! Yeah, I had to drive 180 miles to get it, ride in a van with three kids and a pouty wife (she was kinda pissed about the drive and the gas) but believe me, it was worth it! It’s a two year old HealthTrainer by Keys Fitness. It rocks. It’s for free. Can’t beat free with a stick!

Now, I’m off to do cardio…IN MY LIVING ROOM! Booooo-ya!

5-15-08 AM Workout Upper Body; No-Xplode???

Thursday, May 15th, 2008

I had another great workout this morning on lowerbody.  I worked Legs doing 4 sets of extensions , 4 sets of Leg Press, 3 sets of leg curls, 4 sets of stiff-legged deadlifts, and four sets of supersets on calves(alternating seated calve raises with standing calve raises). I am going back in later to do cardio on both the treadmill and I am going to swim for 20-30 minutes.

Now,  recently I have added No-Xplode to my suppliments and have notice an increase in energy durning my workout.  It is still very early but I was wondering if it is really any good or just a bunch of hype?  Gyms at the gym swear by it but those that do, I have not seen much of an improvement in their physiques.  Any thoughts? Is Superpump 250 a better suppliment? (I think that is the name of it).

I will update again this evening to let you know how my cardio workout goes!

Any imput is greatly appreciated.

8-14-08 Short Cardio this morning was not feeling well..

Wednesday, May 14th, 2008

Ever had one of those days where you just did not want to go to the gym in the morning? Today was one of those days for me.  After much delay I finally want in did 30 minutes of cardio on the eliptical burning what the machine said was 400 calories.  I was going to do abs and some more cardio but I was just not with it this morning.  I went home and got another 30 minutes of sleep before getting ready for work.

TOMORROW is LOWERBODY DAY!  I am excited and ready to go!

NEED ADVICE!!! FINAL WEEKS FOR WEIGHTLOSS!!!

Tuesday, May 13th, 2008

Thank you for taking the time to read this blog.  I am currently in a contest at work with ends on the the 6th of June.  I have dropped a lot of weight during this contest and have maintained a fairly strict diet and suppliment plan.  I train hard and do lots of cardio.  HOWEVER!!! I want to really make an extreme impact these last few weeks.  What should I do?  Do I cut back the weight training and focus primarily on cardio as in 90-120 minutes a day?  What type of cardio should I do if I do that?  I am not too worried about muscle loss because I do know that I can gain it back upon finishing this "weightloss" contest.   I would like to drop about 15-20 more lbs over the next 3.5 weeks!   I would be greatful to hear what you have to say!  Thanks!!!!!!!!

8-12-08 Week 13 Lower Body First Workout using No-Xplode BSN

Monday, May 12th, 2008

Today I stuck to my old workout with some modifications.  I think I will change it up after the 6th of June.  (The ending of this contest).  My workout went good this morning and I have to say I did feel a substancial difference taking NO-Xplode by BSN.  Hopefully this will give me an edge as I finish out this month.  I stuck to my workout as outlined by Bill Grant of Bill Grant Nutrition although I did at a few extra sets and ALSO 3 sets of squats to the program.  After finishing legs I worked ABs hard and then did a moderate 20 minutes of Cardio.   I kept myself  from weighing in today.  I will update my weight and photos on Friday.  I am expecting to make some great gains this week.  Also I am going back to the gym in a few hours to add between 30-40 more minutes of cardio.

I can not wait till tomorrows workout where I will be working Upper Body and adding to my Shoulder Routine.  My Delts are falling a bit behind since I have not been doing any form of Millitary press since my return to working out in February.
