Blog Entry

February 7, 2007

Well its now 4 weeks into my "bodyfat" reduction phase. Im not a fan of "cutting" so much, i still think that with correct nutrition and diet with a good exercise routine that some muscle growth is still achievable while shedding bodyfat.

I ve adjusted to the reduced calorie intake, my main weapon against hunger is simply by eating very regularly. Lots of smaller meals 6-7 a day means i never go longer than 2-3 hours without eating, this helps a lot.

My main carb intake is in the morning before my workout. I was takeing a protein shake before bed, but this seemed to be stunting my bodyfat reduction, i think my body was storeing the big glass of milk i had with the shake. Now ive eliminated that, ive lost 2.5kg (5.5lbs) in my first 4weeks. More importantley ive reduced my waist size by an entire inch and by my rough estimates reduced my bodyfat percentage by 2.2%.

Hopefully ill achieve my target of 6-7% bodyfat in another 2-3 months.

Unfortunatley i seem to have suffered a minor muscle tear/strain in my left shoulder. I did 3 sets of skull- crushers the other day, and dipped a bit to far behind my head. As a result ive now had to miss a few workouts, includeing all upperbody stuff. Im trying to rest but its really hard not to try and lift something. Hopefully itll heal fast.
