Ok… Small Hurdles ;)

Thursday, December 20th, 2007

Ok, so the week started out great!  Meal plans were up and running, training schedule in place!  Only problems were actually getting the meals in ON TIME while training clients.  Will have to work on that one.  Then Wednesday rolls around and I am packed with prepared meals in tupperware neatly tucked into gym bag, on time for morning cardio session, and I go to get the baby and BAM!  Not happening for me today!  Learning that you have to be flexible and above all dedicated.

With the little one sick and all the juggling that has to go on with that, dinner for the rest of the gang was from a bag I have to say BUT!!!! I did it, I ate my prepared meal sitting next to burgers and fries and even worse, the cupcakes my daughter made for school!!!  Felt great this morning but it was tough last night.

Got my cardio in this morning and am bummed to have to miss my training session but I will have to workout over the weekend.  This is an eye opener that is for sure…. i just keep thinking, my competition is working out ……. I have got to keep up!

Welcome!

Tuesday, December 18th, 2007

Well, today is the day!  I have been anticipating this day (and ok… dreading it just a little too) for months!  I have decided to get off my ass and get things rolling!  I decided a few months ago that I want to compete!!
I spent the last couple of months attending NPC shows and educating myself on the process.  (As much as one can without actually diving head first into it).   Decided on April 19 (Ronnie Coleman Classic - Tx) show and although I am scared to death, I have never been more excited about anything else in my life!

I am fortunate that I have a training facility at my disposal (my husband and I own Fit Life Studio www.fitlifestudio.com) and that I have a nutritionist for a husband!  This is a great thing but I am sure down the road I will see that it has its drawbacks as well!  ;)

So, Yesterday I got my meal plans and we sat down and got down to the nitty gritty in regards to planning it all out!

Made an appt to have hydrostatic testing done to get a true reading on my body fat percentage.  Did the trusty caliper testing this morning and was bummed to see that I have let myself go as much as I have…. 139 lbs and 17.75% body fat.  So I have some serious work to do.

Got in this morning and got on the tread for 45 minutes and thought about all that will be ahead of me.  Worried about all that is ahead…. the demands it will place on my family and work load, but found that none of it mattered… that this is for me and that it is ok!  I am so fortunate to have a family that stands behind me!

Off to train!
