Run Down

September 30, 2008

Im so run down right now I’ve been working 6 days a week at the moment and every Saturday is about 12 hours so i dont get to train until late at night, and then i dont train properly because im so tired so i have to train Sundays as well. Ive been putting in more effort to try and make a final push for the end of this Challange as well. I leave the house around 8.30am and dont get home until 12 hours later at around 8.30 after training and work. It’s all starting to come down on me. Im tired all the time, Grumpy and have been gettings some bad headaches, this is the first time ive had a headach in my life. I think i need a Vacation.

Fortunatly my Lifts have been improving regardless. My deadlifts are still at 90KG plus the Bar for 6 and my bulk is really working for me. Im training harder and better then ever before, but more about that once i finish the challange. Now i need to get some sleep. 12 hours sleep might just sort me out.

At least now nobody can say i dont life for training!

Pumped!

September 21, 2008

Weighed in at 71.6kg (168lbs) today with a empty stomach which im more then happy with. On Friday i managed to deadlift 198.5lbs worth of plates on a Olympic Bar for 6 reps which felt awesome, I made so much noise while doing it i couldn’t talk afterwards because my throat hurt so much, But i did it. Not bad considering i weigh 40lbs less then that.

No new photos yet. The cold weather has started to set in here in the UK, I plan to bulk my way right up to 170lbs then cut back for next summer, All natural and all by my self. Im leaving my gym on the last day of this challange to start at a new gym accross the road from my Work so i can train earlier in the day and there for get my meals in earlier as well

I shall get new photos up later in the week.

Centre Strengh

September 6, 2008

I bought myself a pair of wrist straps today for deadlifting. Managed to deadlift 70KG of weights on top of a 10KG Olympic bar. Which beats my personal best. I met 2 guys at the gym who helped me out spotting me too.

Today was supposed to be a day of deadlifts, shoulders and biceps but it turned into a centre strength day instead, Lots of large movements, overhead bench, chest pull ups etc. The bicep pump came as a byproduct. My centre size has always been small and i want to increase that.

Also, I’ve started a miniature challenge of my own, to not look at my body in a mirror for 7 days. It’s surprisingly difficult, as i check my self most mornings and after a gym session. Just thought it would be something fun.

If anyone has any suggestions on size building lifts and exercises then let me know

inspiration?

August 7, 2008

Boy, Did i see the most inspiring thing yesterday at the gym! There is a girl who trains at the gym. I first met her about 4 months ago, We got talking and would flirt a lot. She was a nice person. A great figure, Slim and slender with great definition and would train cardeo and machines all day. I always intended to ask her out once i sorted my self out. Just when i was ready to get back onto the dating horse she stopped training.

Anyway. 2 months past and i finally saw her yesterday coming out of the Sauna. She was in a swim suit. She had taken 2 months out form training ‘to enjoy the sunshine’. Just 2 months had seen this tight bodied girl turn to a fat mess. She had a big belly sticking out the front, Large thies and her backside looked like something from a rap video! I was shocked! in 2 months all her had work had been undone, and what was worse, she didnt seem to care. She had got her self a new boyfriend and ‘didn’t need to train any more’

If that is not inspiration to continue training then i dont know what is!

Training is still chugging along. I have taken my normal routine and reversed it. So i now start with the exercises i normally finish with. Its a nice way of mixing it up without having to devote time to learning new things. My new 5kg tub of True Whey protein has just arrived in the post today, along with 180 Vitamin tablets. I try not to go to over the top with supplements. Simply protein to fix the muscles and the rest to keep my body in good working order.

Blog Entry

August 5, 2008

I am writing this while tucking in my Morning protein shake.

Yesterday was a big chest and tri day for me. I went to the gym a little earlier then normal, as a result every bench was full. This messed with my Bench work out as most of it consists of flys and dumbbell presses. So i decided to mix it up a little and give some of the cables and machine a go.

Boy it felt good! Really took me out of my comfort zone. I had seen other people doing other exercises and tried some of them out for my self. I had to grit my teeth and ignore the fact that i had to lift quite low weights as my body was not used to the form or the movements. I hit my Triceps on the cables doing pull overs and push downs and had a great pump. Normally i will polish off a chest day with a few machines just to get a real pump, But this time i started on the machines and then to the free weights when the benches freed up later. It gave me a good opportunity to train other areas of the chest, I tend to train the top area and as a result have very square and high pecks.

On that note, I have taken a slight step back on the training. It started to be come a case of eat-sleep-drink-breath body and fitness. However with it being mid summer (a rare event here in rainy England!) I have started to relax a bit. I have cut back from trainign 5-6 days a week to 3-4. With proper rest days and i have started spending more time with friends. With the weather being so nice most of the time we are outside playing sport or walking anyway. So it’s not like i am just sat at home eating unhealthy. I feel better for taking a step back and more rested when i hit the weights.

I have avoided the scales this week, and will do until next week. I just need a break from counting numbers.

Variety really is the spice of life it seems!

GOOD NEWS! I AM NO LONGER INJURED!

July 25, 2008

The elbow had repaired last week, But the bicep was still sore and curling was out of the question. I could do anything else such as bent over rows and pull downs for my back. But i could not curl. At the top of a curl or the very bottom i would get a massive pain on my bicep.

Well, today, after some intense back work i picked up 8kg in my left hand and started to do a half curl, getting lower and lower each time, it hurt a little, but the pain eased. Then i moved onto 12kg each arm, again, hurt a little but after a while the pain went. I decided to leave it at 12. Normally i would curl 14kg (16kg with crap form) but i quit while i was ahead.

I then went on to load the bar up with 20KG, normally i would do 25kg but i didn’t want to push it. I was able to do three sets of full 20KG bar curls. 3×10, I finally got my Pump in the bicep. I left it at that as i could still feel a small ache in the bicep. But this time next week i expect to be back to normal form.

I have also re-structured my Routine. I now start my week on a sunday and take tuesday, Friday and saturday off. So i have a split in between. I have also started on the shakes twice a day, an even cleaner diet and im starting to bulk. The cretein has made me puff up slightly and the abs started to go. So i thought now was a good a time as ever to start to bulk up!

Expect he next week to be the hardest week ever. Im going to attack those weights like my life depended on it!

Creatine Water Weight.

July 21, 2008

On Saturday i started a creatine cycle. 1 week of loading, 8 weeks of creatine with 1 week off. I am currently on my loading phase and things are good.

I have more energy, I have had one or two headaches unfortunately but nothing major. I was able to stay up until 7am playing video games with friends even after a heavy work out at the gym! (this is rare, i am usually passed out on the sofa after gym work!). The only downside so far is that i seem to be gaining a lot of water weight. My Abs are now gone and i am starting to look at little puffy. But i will continue to press on.

New Persional Best!

June 30, 2008

A friend came with me for Chest day and spotted for me. I managed to set a new personal best for dumbbell flys. 28KG each arm for 2 reps! Considering a month and a half ago i was trying to get 20KG each arm this is quite a big jump. I owe it all to the core strength "Ab Attack" Classes. I have also started doing these sessions twice a week now.

I had to take Sunday off becuase of the total blasting my upper body got on Saturday. Tonight is HIT cardio followed me Legs day. Tuesday will be Arms and Wednesday im back in the class room for Ab Attack.

Does Anybody read these by the way?
