Climbing Back
Hard to believe what two weeks of illness did to me: I lost about 1/2 my strength and lots of stamina. I’ve been on the mend for a week and a half now, though, and that has allowed me to make a lot of progress. Whether it’s because I’ve been carbing hard (whole wheat bread, brown rice, even a potato) or because I’m old enough to know recovery takes time, I’m seeing a lot of success this weekend. Yesterday I managed to complete a whole 1/2 hour of Spin. Sure, it was at a light and steady pace, but it sure beat feeling pooped after only 15 minutes at a similar pace (which I experienced Thursday). And, whether it’s because of the carbs or because I’ve been sleeping much more than normal, I got my whole Leg workout done this morn. Wednesday night I’d been "horrified" at how little I could lift and the fact I ran out of steam with 1/3 of my workout to go didn’t help any. This AM I did my whole routine and I did it with about 65% of the weight I’d been using before the illness! From past experience and much research, I know it may take me one month of recovery to make up for two weeks of being out of the game. I am glad that extra Rest, a change in Diet, and Consistency with Intensity seem to be helping me make steady progress towards being back at 100% FazerFX Power!

Awesome! Glad to hear you are recovering properly
Can’t wait to see the rocket blast when you take off… and I can’t wait to see the progress once you hit terminal velocity! Oh, and I’ll join your C.R.E.W anyday! LOL

Is that a request for a group I hear?

I’ve been tempted to start a group… I’m part of some groups, but it would be nice to have the kind of support that Feels more like support? If that makes sense… A group that keeps track of each member, that feels more like a bunch of friends getting fit than just a bunch of people listed together. I dunno. I just might yet. Or we just might yet.
