Brief rain on winding Highway 1 between Cape Canaveral and Titusville with golden sunshine on all the lush grasses and tall trees (if you’re a photog or motorcyclist, you will quickly understand)
A curvy, tree-covered road through lush greens between Laura Walter Park and Okefenokee Swamp Park. (take this on a bike or in a convertible)
Fields of peanuts with golden sunlight on the lush soil, cotton plants covered in white, dozens of peach and pecan trees in peoples yards (Georgia is VERY worth seeing).

All alone, all alone; on this long and winding road; in the cold, in the cold; just a dog without a bone; still I roll, still I roll; with the Sun to guide my path; going home, going home; where my head will rest at last…

(With thanks to FitBit & Flobots) Power, I have it and it feels good, especially when I use it to make positive change in my Reality: Come lunch time, instead of riding or stretching, I will sometimes go down to the Town Lake Animal Shelter to visit with the dogs held there. Some of the canines are up for adoption, but about 2/3 are "in observation." Of these, a good number will be transferred to the "safe & petable" side of the facility, but some will get "retired." Whether it’s because they are found to be overly aggressive, carry illness, or have injury deemed "not worth treating," these poor pups will never know another home.
My first few visits to Town Lake Animal Shelter, I spent most of my time talking to and petting the dogs on the adoptable side of the complex. It’s nice to be able to walk, play with, and feed treats to pets you don’t have to clean up after. Since I was looking to Adopt, it also made sense to spend time "grading" the available candidates. Pretty soon though, the barks and whines coming from the "observation" wings of the shelter drew my attention.
Going over to the "no touching" kennels, I immediately noticed a difference. It wasn’t so much in the nature of the pets, it was in their appearance and surroundings. Though the many staff members and official volunteers do their best, pets far outnumber people and not all needs are met equally. The kennels in the adoption area are generally cleaner, get better sunlight, and their occupants seem a bit better groomed. Also, dogs that are sick, injured, or recovering are kept in the "no touch" area, furthering the more "gloomy" attitude I perceive there.
I don’t have a blue Staff shirt, or a yellow Volunteer shirt, but the dogs seem to know me. Maybe it’s that they smell the treats in my pockets, maybe (flattering myself?) they know my voice, and maybe it’s just that they appreciate someone coming by to give them some attention, many of my "temporary" friends wag their tails, jump up, and even emit short barks as they hear me calling out my approach to them. Dogs are dogs, they give Love without question and they need it back. I am glad to visit with all of my four legged friends and feed each of them a treat while sharing some Love.
Similar to the above, "I am human and I need to be Loved." (thanks Morrissey) Last night I saw a young woman whom I haven’t spoken to in a couple of months. It’s been many years since I first asked her out and even longer since I first met her. Both the lady and I have changed a lot through the years, especially me in the last 16 months. Anyways, I complimented my friend on her latest hairstyle and she lit up like a halogen bulb. Whether it’s because of my improved appearance, the fact that I was feeling positive, or just that I gave her attention, it was obvious my friend was very drawn to me. Since I am not at a stage where I feel getting into a new relationship would be of mutual benefit, there was no way I could take it further than being nice. So, I complimented the lady again on her hairstyle, I asked if she’d been "working out" (yes), I noticed her earings, and I told my friend I’d look forward to seeing her looking even happier and doing even better next time we meet!
I don’t wake up thinking "how am I going to make the world a better place today?" I do get out of bed and make time during my day to open doors, to compliment people, to help those I can and to overall improve my Reality by using my Power to do things that I deem good because they make me and others feel good!
Best!

Allergies, that’s all you hear from me nowadays and if you see me indoors you’ll know why. I’ve been falling apart on/off for about two weeks now and am really hoping things clear out a bit before I leave town next Saturday.
According to the local reports, there is plenty of Ragweed in the air and also some mold. Seeing as I tend to do well outside, I think it’s mold that’s the problem. I had kind of figured that out before seeing reports, but was at first confused as to how it could be mold when we’ve had no rain. I put it down to condensation, I know it builds up in my car on a hot day after I’ve been using the AC, so I figured it took place in buildings. During the day, it gets hot (low 90s) and the AC is on full blast. At night, the AC goes off and the temps drop to the low 70s. In my mind, this cycle allows for mold and helps explain why I feel like crap indoors but do well outside.
Despite going through more tissue than a litter of kittens ransacking a Kleenex warehouse, I’ve continued Training as best I can. My performance has suffered greatly: speed is down on the bike, distance is shorter on the water, weights are lighter/feel heavier, BUT I cannot just quit!
One good thing to come from my ongoing allergy problems is that Mouth seems to have taken a vacation from me. Though I’ve had bad days Nutrition wise, it’s not been due to eating bad food. Here is an example:
meal one: half chicken breast, 1 slice ww bread, 1 apple <> meal two: half chicken breast, 1 slice ww bread, 1 apple <> meal three: 2 packs "Japanese style" peanuts, 1 banana, 1 vitamin water <> meal four: half a chicken breast, 1 banana <> meal five: 1 EAS bar, 1/3 chicken breast
So, not much in the way of "bad," but what about greens/vegetables? Sure, I was on the road part of the day, but I really should have found time to chew some tomatoes or something.
Anyways, it could all be worse. The scale is still stuck at 165, I still need a belt to wear my pants, and I’m still fitting in size "S" shirts.
Not giving up again!
