My gym has a Sirius satellite tuner and MP3 CD player, so members can listen to their music piping thur instead of busting out their eardrums with iPods/MP3 players. The problem is I LOVE Sirius Backspin ( 80’s/early 90’s hip hop) and not everyone else is into it. To be safe, the gym owner always has it on some hard rock station, and not everyone is into that and we all end up wearing our own ear buds.
So what is in your iPod/mp3 player ? What music pumps u like NOX ? !!

Yesterday I had a sugar binge…I downed 2, yes, 2 cans of regular Pepsi, ate a slice of lemon pie, and a Skinny Cow Ice Cream Sandwich….
( Yes I know, emotional eating, blah blah blah )
Please forgive me for my sins!!

I was reading someone’s blog and they mentioned a suicide which I thought was odd. Then I came across what they were referring to. How sad…. I had no idea of the ties to BB until I read it.
Here’s a link to the article http://apnews.myway.com/article/20081121/D94JIDEG2.html
Remember how precious our time and our family and friends are. If they are in need, save them, help them.
For those of you that might have been involved and encouraged this, remember, your judgment day will be upon you. Mr. Briggs might have had an illness, but that makes you even sicker, deranged to watch and egged him on.
May you find peace.

For those of us in the US, tomorrow is Thanksgiving.I won’t go into the political incorrectness of it but rather reflect on what we are thankful for.
I’m a person that suffers with depression. I refuse to take any form of serotonin drugs, therefore, a healthy lifestyle has helped me cope in more ways I can explain.
With that said, I’m thankful for every day my feet are above the ground. I’m thankful every day I can see my son’s smile and hear his laughter. I’m thankful God has given me another day.
What about you ?

What a rip off. Don’t buy them if you wear prescribed lenses. They are truely a rip off. I went back to the eye dr because they weren’t changing dark enuf and she informed me there’s no "setting to make them darker". It’s so horrible I remarked to her that I’d have gotten tinted lenses that are darker than this. Then she dropped the bigger bomb, they won’t work in a car ! Go figure, when would I rather have darker lenses ? Sure enough, when in the car, they won’t transition, even if you hold them directly in the sun !
What ticks me off is there was NO mention of this when I was ordering all the crap for the lenses. Lesson learned and she won’t be seeing anymore of my business.
::done venting:::

I’m not into bulking up with heavy lifting, I’m too old and have back issues that will hinder that. So I’m now into the more reps with lower weights. I do 6 sets of 6/6/6/10/12/12 reps with failure at each set. I got that idea from the Muscle&Fitness Body Challenge. I used to do 3 sets of 8 whether I had failure or not. You can tell by the pictures where that go me ! But no more ! 1 minute rest between each set.
This is tough and I get the heart rate jumping. If time allows, I get in 30 minutes of cardio with elliptical or cycle. When all is said and done, this can be a 90 - 180 minute workout.

Welcome to my Body Rocking BodySpace.com BodyBlog. I’m starting this blog so to motivate me more to achieve my goal. I’ve been a gym rat, for a few years, but never had a goal in mind. It was a way to get my cardio in tip top shape so I can hang with my Son. But now I’m 45 and I have a goal for when I reach 50. I’m going to change my diet, change my workout, and drop the fat.
This won’t be easy. With two ruptured achilles, I’m not able to run distances > 3 miles, and my herniated disk limits some back workouts. I’m not saying to to create excuses, just to figure out other ways to do a complete body change.
Thanks for coming to my page, and I want to thank you all in the bodybuilding.com community for all you’ve contributed to educate me in achieving my goal !
