Shrinking, but not how I wished

November 5, 2007

I was really excited on saturday when I got on the scale, and I was getting really close to the magic 80 kgs. However, I was far from happy when the body fat reading this morning came out 20.7, meaning I havent lost any measurable percentage of fat. As far as body weight goes, I’m right on track for reaching my goal of losing 20 kgs. But I’m far, far away from achieving my body fat goal.

I’m not quite sure what to make of it all. I still think that my diet is sound, so I probably have to up the cardio. I dread that as I barely can find the time to get in my 20 minute HIIT workouts 3 times a week. I’m afraid that if I push myself to do more cardio, I will burn out on the whole thing.

Oh well… still 3 weeks to go before my ‘challenge’ is over, so I’ll wait at least that long before adjusting anything.

Ups and downs

September 26, 2007

This morning I got on the weight, and to my horror I had put on 600g - not exactly what I had hoped for.

On the plus side I had a terrific workout where I increased my max on chest, shoulders and biceps excersizes.

Am very curious about what mondays body fat reading will be. Hopefully the added weight is muscle, but I’m afraid that’s too much to hope for.

Best workout yet!

September 12, 2007

This morning I had my best upper body workout yet. I believe I hit every high point and could really feel the muscles working - extremely motivating!

Tomorrow is my birthday, and I will celebrate it by upping the intensity on my cardio, which I’m pretty psyched about.

Really happy about how things are going at the moment, especially now that my body fat is coming down, although slowly :)

Body fat woes

September 3, 2007

I would say my transformation is going really well, except for one, rather major, fact - my body fat percentage. When I started just over 4 weeks ago, I was at 25.6% body fat. Now I’m at 25.3% - yuck!

In the same period, I have lost almost exactly 10 lbs, but apparently only 1.4 lbs has been fat. It annoys me to no end, especially since my daily calorie intake is pretty high - I’m definately not starving myself.

Oh well… at some point I have to start losing fat, just hope it will before I have no muscle left in my body ;)

And so it begins

August 6, 2007

I have never weighted more in my entire life, and it’s definately time for a change. The change starts today. I renewed my gym membership this morning, and have every intention of working out 6 days a week from now on. Cardio every workout and 3-4 sessions of weight training.

Just ordered ‘Body For Life’ off Amazon, and are looking forward to what will hopefully be an inspiring read.

I intend to update my stats every week.
