I am less focus on bodybuilding and focused on ultra running. I went from 20 mins to 120mins of running in 3 weeks. I workout with weights 2x a week and do two 90 min aerobic workout in the gym and the other 3 days i run. I have a personal traning business in nyc. I worked my whole body in one day and this was a full workout
am: chest, back,bis, abs pm: delts tris all legs abs
with 90 mins aerobic session in the evening.

I’m going to Las Vegas this Wednesday, so I workout with mostly machines and dumbells. I worked out my:
Chest: Machine incline press, Up to 295lbs*
machine body dips. -100, -75, -30 pounds from my bodyweight**
machine pec dec 100-180lbs*
Back: machine rows Max out machine weight
lat pull down max out weight stack
machine low back rows. max out machine weight*
biceps: trisets with seated incline curls, standing bicep cirls and hammer curls. maxweight 45lbs in each hand.
cardio. I did 70mins of powerwalking, but later will do more aerobics as well.
Not focused on my diet.

My july workouts are over. I did 18 weight room workouts and 1327 mins of diff kinds of aerobics. The aerobic mins is a new record for me . Last month I did 1069 mins of aerobics. Thurday I did whole body pump sets. Meaning I lifted 60% of my max and did 50-100 reps per set.

I trained my legs today. Not too heavy, but did alot of reps 50-100 reps per set. My hand was hurting as my left side of my neck. I think its because of over doing it. Today I broke my diet and had Mc’DS, so the whole day I just ate what I wanted and didnt do any powerwalking today. Wednesday is a new day.

I’m tired I worked out hard this past two days. Doing chesat and bis on day one and delts and tris on day two. I do abs every workout. I’m not into getting bigger, but if it happens it happens. I just want to be lean and mean. Remember muscle or fat too much weight will do damage to your joints down the road in one’s life.
At my age I do mostly machines and dumbells for some body parts. I have interest in lifting a 100lb db on a incline. I have no desire to do squats or flat bench presses. I love hammer machines, This month so far I did about 1300 mins of aerobices Most I ever did for training for a competiton was 1000 and that was the last month. There is no magic road for gaining muscle unless you take drugs but remember those drugs cant change you genetics or muscle shape. The real champions are those who train naturally. More to come.

I’ve been workout drug free for 32 years. Last time I competed was in 1999. I competed in 6 bodybuilding contests for masters over 40. Always placed in the top 6 and my best placing was 3rd place in the heavyweights. I started to compete ten year ago because at the age of 39. I was over 230lbs with a 42 inch waist, so I thought entering a contest would push me to get in the best shape of my life hitting 40. In 6 month I went from 230 to 180. Went from a 42 inch waist to a 28 inch waist. Now I’m turning 50. It time to get in the BEST SHAPE of my LIFE!! I was a pro trainer from 1991-2001. I was in and wrote articles for 2 major muscle magz back in the 80’s My training and diet in my next blog post.
