It’s Official….

Wednesday, July 30th, 2008

Just got back from Doc and we viewed and discussed MRI. No tear in miniscus or structural damage, Praise God, just about 30% inflammation left and a little mild arthritis starting. I am a whole man again.. Obvuiously I will have to take it easy on the knee till it gets used to working out again, but I’m jazzed and ready to go… Wish me luck

The Biggg Day…

Wednesday, July 30th, 2008

Today is the big day. Maybe that’s why I can’t sleep at 4.30 a.m. pst. I goto the doctor to find out the results of my knee MRI . Doc wouldn’t give me results over the phone.. I am so restless today, is it a full moon…? Whatever, let me go get these weights and work some biceps and triceps. I think I am going back to half pyramid routines.. Back in Mar/Apr got all kinds of compliments because people were seeing results with the pyramid workouts..

Me and the Cable Guy.. 5 bowling balls strong…

Friday, July 25th, 2008

Last nite I saw a Nutri Systems tv commercial starring The Cable guy and Dan Moreno, Miami Dolphins former quarterback. Cable guy was comparing his former 40 lb belly to bowling balls weighing 8lbs each. He was carrying them around to symbolize how much excess weight he was carrying around. Of course Nutri Systems helped him and Danny lose their bowling balls..  I could relate since I am about 40 lbs over avg for my height.. It kinda put things in perspective for me as to how much excess weight my heart is trying to carry around each day..

Good news is that I did cardio yesterday on Nordic Track and did Cathe Friedriche ’s slow and heay chest and back series today.. I tell you one thing , that L-glutamine definitely helps you get through an intense workout..

My goals this week are

Lose 1-3 lbs.

Do Cardio 4-6x (I’m in no position to take a lot of cardio days off.

Do leg work on recumbent bike and some hammie work till doc gives me all clear, hopefully next week on my knee..

Post pics Sat/sun..

Short Term Goal   -Weigh at least 10 lbs less, current between 237-240 and hovering

Continue to eat at least 90% clean remainder of week avoiding as much sugar as possible.. I can do This.. I must do this…

THE STARS DON’T LIE

Wednesday, July 23rd, 2008

Ironically I went on Aol after my last blog and my forecast was very prophetic

When it comes to helping other people, quality is much more important than quantity.

Health and fitness are on your mind right now and it’s the perfect time to get started on some new program that’s meant to improve your well-being. Even the tiniest steps can take you pretty far!

What a co-incidence..

I have met the enemy and I am he…

Wednesday, July 23rd, 2008

Today was like a nirvana day for me.. Yesterday, everything ached but my brain. Didn’t work out.. I have determined that until I get this chronic internal inflammation in check, I will continue to have good days and bad days. Today was a 180.. I felt untold energy.

I had a great day..I have learned so much during my 2 month hiatus with this meniscus problem.. I’m back in the fitness saddle, though.. Energy level was high today and I did cardio and upper body. Doc called and told me to lay low on squats and lunges till he discusses results of MRI on the 30th.. Uh-oh.:-)

From readign so many blogs I have learned a fe wthings..

1. I have to be honest with myself.. Either commit , or quit.. I choose to commit.

2. Journal , journal, journal.. I must express my feelings , achievements, failures with myself and you the fitness public. No more talkng about when I have all my ducks lined up , I will start the journey right now, no more tommorrows…

3. Pictures, Pictures, Pictures. As much as possible include a pic with journal entries as often as possible and post pics and stats in progress chart.

4. Eat clean 95% of the time and stay the hell away from partying and happy hours till I see some gains.

5. Search this site religiously and read blogs and bio’s of others who have done it before me..

This is just the tip of the things I have learned.. I will succeed.. Because I can..-Mitchie

My true journey begins..I want a hard body… I used to have one back in the day

The Camel Hump

Wednesday, July 16th, 2008

I went to a  convention Mon nite. I took a picture  with a friend. And there it was.. The infamous beer belly in all it’s glory. The rest of my body looks good but all the fat is in the camel hump. I saw it and got fired up to kill it once and for all.. Several people on this site started 6 months after me and have surpassed me. As I studied how they did it.. It became abundantly to clear to me the one thread they all had in common.. They blogged religiously and posted pics of progress no matter how small more fervently.. So I’ve decided to make the blog my friend. Just like them I’m gonna have to share it all, my feelings, my food intake , my fitness regimens, my life..  And just maybe I will achieve the same successes .. Took an L-glutamine 20 minutes ago.. Headed out in to the garage to work out..

I’ve been Outted…

Wednesday, July 9th, 2008

You think no one really reads these blogs but you, your mother and father because they love you and then bingo, you get an email.. In my case it was from Richard, a BB. blog manager. He said, it had been a few weeks since I posted.. Made that song 60’s come to my mind, "Somebody’s watching you". But at least it was a good note knowing that someone out there in netherland really cares about our fitness health and welfare.. Well, Sir Richard,  I got my knee MRI today and eventhough my results are not in , I am resuming my routines.. Over these last 2 months I’ve been monitoring what  makes people successful in their fitness goals.. I SEE THAT NO. 1 AND 2 in no particular order is posting pics and blogging very very frequently. For a few months I was getting compliments from men and women in real and cyber time, then I let my indulgences (fitness devils) take over my mindset. And my fitness level dropped and my weight started to balloon again.. So , I am back in the saddle and will appreciate any words of encouragement and support I can get.. -FFM
