I get a lot of guys telling me what I got thats good and what needs improvement but none from girls really, why is this?

For christmas I will be getting a gym membership to my school’s gym. I am attending college at algonquin and take is hard to come by now that I am a full time student.

Wondering how others who work out at school progress. Is a school gym a good decision?

Starting hard with supplements - August

This blog will be to talk about my strategy for the month of August with supplements. I will say I was on creatine before, I have tried a fat burner, and I have taken whey and casein. Last month being July, I went without anything but some whey and some casein. I saw for gnc a ad saying you had to wait for first week of the month for discounts on supplements with gold card, but i found out yesterday that is only true in the states, here in a canada its discounted every day. So yesterday I went into gnc knowing exactly what I wanted and these are the 4 products I ended up leaving with; Optimum Nutrition 100% whey (Cookies and Cream), Optimum Nutrition Casein (Creamy Vanilla), Muscletech Cell-Tech Hardcore (Fruit Punch), and Muscletech Nitro-Tech Hardcore (Strawberry). I was looking at ads in a Muscle and Fitness magazine and the Cell/Nitro Tech stack is what I’m hoping will give me my results, I heard good things about them from people.

So my strategy on using these supplements for the month since im sure thats all they will last me is : Whey in the morning to stop catabolism, I believe thats the term im thinking off, and just to start my day with protein, then the Cell-Tech immediately after my work out, and then Nitro-Tech 30min after taking the Cell-Tech. Which leaves me with the Casein, which if you understand Casein, you will be able to guess that I’m going to consume it right before bed, for the reason of having slow digesting protein to flow through me to stop muscle break down.

At this point I do want to mention that I did meet my goal of getting body fat down to 10% and waying 160, altho I had it down to 157 and i’ve had fat down to 9.5%. That was one of my big goals, so that abs may be visible and if you take a look at my progress photos, they are visible. Now that I am slimmed down, I want to beef up and get muscle going, my main focus is on bigger guns (my biceps). My current work out is from the Arnold Swartznegger Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding. It worked great using the first level of it, i’m working on the 2nd level and trying to add my own knowledge of exercises to complete it. I hope to find a work out that will give me the results I want.

I reached my body fat goal. :D

So as you can get from the title, I have finally hit my goal, last night i weighed my self and the scale showed 160 Lbs and 9.5% body fat. My goal for body fat percentage was 10% so that my abs could come out, and I am proud I can see my abs. To make sure last nights weight was not just cause of time and maybe the scale acting up, I weighed myself this morning after my shower and the results were 158Lbs and 10% body fat. So I am very glad and proud I have been sticking to my diet. My work out along the way slowed down due to moving and getting full time, but I stuck to my diet in order to stay healthy, I did crunches now and then, tried to do certain weighted exercises, now I’m held back to my dumbbells instead of my barbell. My new goal is to put on the muscles on the arms, the guns are my next targets. For august I will stack Muscle Tech creatine and nitic oxide. Supposedly in this new house we will be installing a fitness machine and have a room specifically for fitness. So my trail for new goals might not be as hard. My goal took the 2 months as I expected and I am happy and satisfied with my work. If you look at my photo from may 9th then look at the recent photos, you will see a big difference.

Getting back into it after moving.

So…. I have just moved into a new home about 10km from old house, and in the move and everything unpacking and then working full time, I haven’t had the time i used to for working out, and I’ve noticed a huge slow down in my work out, although I am proud to say my diet has stayed consistent which is good. My goal was to have my body fat percentage at 10%  I checked the other day and its at 11.5% which isn’t bad, but its not really progress either. Now the point of getting to 10% body fat was to show abs, and man the abs are starting to show, in good lighting they show and that I am proud of. I just got the internet today, so I will be updating again and getting back on track, this site keeps me on track, and I love it. Currently only supplements I am taking is a multi vitimin and casein before bed. Please write to me if you have anything to say about this post.

How do you hold back from late night snack?

Last night, I could feel my stomach wanting food, growling and giving that hunger feeling, I’m trying to lower my body fat to get abs to show, so I didn’t want to put anything in my stomach. I thought, maybe I will just sleep right now…. maybe drink a bottle of water to fill it but then the thought came in that what if I’m restricting it from what it needs, I don’t want to lose muscle in the progress of lowering body fat. As it turned out I had a bowl of cereal, and from that i felt bad, did a little bit of working out and then had my usual protein shake before bed.

I really want to know how people keep them self from eating at the end of the day. I don’t wanna sleep on food that is just going to sit and turn to fat cause im doing nothing. But I don’t want to deprive my muscles of nutrition. :( What do you do?

My school day nutrition

My school day nutrition is getting better than it was. I’m trying to put healthy foods and more protein in to diet on school days.

Start my morning with Cheerieoos - Haven’t found a better breakfast for diet.
for lunch I have, 2 eggs, sandwhich with just meat whole grain bread, try to add in some chicken, yogurt

for snack in afternoon, protein bar, and a apple

Not that much food, but its healthier and higher in protein than other kids at school.

Started rapid lean yesterday.

So yesterday marks the start of me using Six Star Rapid Lean, supposedly 15 days worth of pills from my calculations, so in 2 weeks, I’m hoping with a proper diet and working out. That my body fat will be 10% or lower, currently its 11 percent. I just checked the scale and it said i weighed 164.6lbs, which I’m rounding to 165.  So I’m happy I see weight going down, but I’m more interested in body fat lowering that weight. So here is to a good start on transforming my body. :D I want to prove to every one I have told, and has said supplements are a scam. I want to be proof they work with right diet and exercise.

First BodyBuilding Blog

Hello,

So this will be my first body building blog. This blog doesn’t have much purpose but to be a start to blogs i might begin doing regularly to keep myself and others updated. So to start, I found this site from a friend who had a body building account. My motivation to start working out was simply to win arm wrestling competitions, and since I’ve started working out, we no longer arm wrestle, but I’m still motivated to work out and get a better looking, and healthier body. I started out with 4 dumbbells, 2 x 10lbs and 2 x 25lbs. The 25lbs were and easter gift a few years back, I’m guessing weights were suppose to be a signal from my dad to work out. When I got those weights I was not even able to lift them up. I had to use 2 hands. Very sad. Afterwards those weights became part of most of my work out, doing curls and reverse curls with them. Trying to lay on ground and kinda bench press the 2 dumbbells. Using the 10lbs weights for over head extensions and other exercises where I could not do them with the 25lbs yet. Since that point cause of talks with kids in class and how creatine was actually safe to use, and that one of them used it to get big I decided to try it if no harm. My brand of creatine I’m using is six star muscle fuel. Now before getting this I had tried my step mothers whey protein and it was NASTY… well the way I was taking it was nasty. So when I tried that first scoop of creatine it was mouth watering, fruit punch flavored and so good. I am still using this creatine. Loving the taste of the supplement you are taking I would say is important. I know actually use that whey protein I found so nasty. Mixing a scoop of whey protein vanilla flavor with 1 cup of soy milk and a hand full of mixed berries. Now I love the protein drink. From there I have now bought a dumbbell and barbell set that are adjustable with about 90 lbs of weights to move from barbell to dumbbell. Its a cheap set that before tax was $79.99. I’m loving it and it didn’t break my bank. The hope is that in the new house I will have a home gym with a weight machine like a bow flex. Till then I will work with what I have. If you were to check my progress photos, I wasn’t the smallest guy and I wasn’t the biggest on fat side. I’ve noticed an improvement in my biceps which I’m loving and I slightly notice those abs are wanting to poke out. My goal is to get to 10% body fat to help get that six pack to show. This is my story basically up to this point, so for my second blog I will report how far I have improved since this post.
