DAY 79 - Plyometrics

Monday, March 31st, 2008

Wow, today was tough man! Couldn’t sleep too good last night, so I was tired when I got to the gym. Me and my buddy still managed to complete the workout with pretty high intensity, but I feel so drained now. Ankles and knees (but especially ankles) are very sore right now. Overall I’m happy that I managed to start and finish the workout without slacking given how tired I was.

DAY 78 - Chest, Shoulders & Tris

Sunday, March 30th, 2008

Felt strong today and upped the reps, but my shoulders and tri’s were unusually sore. It was a very solid effort, but the tempo was slightly lower than usual. Lately it feels like such a hassle to come on here and blog the daily workout lol. Glad it’s almost over. Wonder if I could handle the lean program after a break….

DAY 75 - Legs & Back

Great workout, everything was very clean. Pullups were in the 8-10 range. Ab-ripper wasn’t as good as I would have preferred it to be, but it’s tough after the leg workout. Good stuff overall :D

DAY 74 - Yoga-X

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

This was my most "peaceful" yoga experience ever. There wasn’t any struggle, not even for a moment. I felt so calm and centered; it was awesome. I’m getting more and more flexible and my balance is way better than before. I still struggle with the hand grab from under the thigh and don’t even attempt the crane, but other than that it’s all gotten better! :D

DAY 72 - Plyometrics

Today was a pleasant surprise. Before I started, I was pretty sure it was gonna suck, considering how bad my ankles were aching and what not. But guess what, I crushed it! In fact, I think I’m gonna go ahead and say that this was my best plyo session to date. I’m feeling the rockstar hops in my knees as I’m typing this. This is the single move I’m having the most difficulty with. I can never land on my toes when I do ‘em.

DAY 71 - Chest & Back

Monday, March 24th, 2008

Today was intense. The reps were almost identical to the last chest&back workout, but I made sure every single rep was given everything I got. Needless to say, the second round was tough (ie seeing stars in  the air when I get up, tough). Ab-ripper was good, but not as good as the last 2-3 sessions, but I was really exhausted so it was expected. So this completes my "chest&back" workouts for the first round of P90X. Gimme a minute or two til I wipe the tears away lol  :P
