Yep, something is definitely happening! Kicked ass again and guess what I can do pull-ups w00t!!!!! On any given variation (close, wide, reverse, supinated etc) I can now do like 4-7 reps without any assist (depending on how much the arms are involved) and if I get some boost from the lifefitness station I can go up to 11-12. I’m really happy with the pull-up progress up to this point. As far as the leg workout goes, pretty much every single rep was very high quality today. I lowered the reps from 25-20 on most exercises and concentrated on the quality. Core strength must be increasing as well because I was able to complete ab-ripper right after a leg workout. As you can tell I’m really in a good mood lol
P.S. Mike: Thanks for swinging by man. Every single workout other than yoga, kenpo and x-stretch I do at the gym. I guess the key is to swallow your pride and be willing to make and a$$ of yourself lol. The resistance training is easy since I have the workout sheet with me to keep track (and after a few workouts you remember things). As for plyo, 4-5 of my gym buddies join me and I bring my macbook and we do it at one of the studios in the gym. I workout at 6am so it’s pretty much like we own the gym anyways lol. So it’s definitely doable. Lemme know when you start the X.

Good workout! Bi’s are definitely more peaked than a month or so go. I did pretty much the same amount of pull-ups, but definitely increased the weight on the curls. Can’t believe it’s almost time for the second recovery week. Oh and I kicked ass at ab-ripper today. Felt real strong!

I think this was my best plyo session to date. I pushed myself hard (I’d say intensity was about 90-95%) and didn’t slack off at all except for a few reps on a couple exercises. To my surprise the workout went by very quickly. Except for the weird incident yesterday, I think the last 4-5 days have been a milestone for me. Something is happening and I’m liking it! Normally I’d be sleeping with my eyes open by now, but I’m feeling pretty wired. Good stuff!!!

So I was really pumped for this workout. Something happened at the end of the very first set of push-ups where you go to failure at normal speed as a bonus. It’s weird to explain, it almost felt like I popped a vein in my forehead or something and now I have a slight headache. I still managed to suck it up and finish the workout, but the push-ups were not fun at all I would say the overall intensity was about 70% due to the discomfort in my head at the bottom of the push-ups. Hope the headache goes away soon because Monday’s suck bad enough by default lol. Tomorrow is plyo, I can’t wait til this time tomorrow so I can say phewww I survived this week

Had to wake up at 6am on a Sunday, so the stretching really helped me with the grumpiness lol. I absolutely love this routine, it always makes me feel loose and relaxed. It’s really nice out today, maybe I’ll go play some tennis in a few hours…Tomorrow is chest, shoulders and tri’s and I’m looking forward to making an a$$ of myself during the one handed push-ups lol

Holy Chit!!!! I really nailed it today! I was feeling so tired and out of it when starting the warm up, but somehow I just kicked into a higher gear with the first exercise of the day and never looked back. I still can’t believe how high the intensity was, it’s so weird I almost doubled my rep count on all the pull-up variations. I was going real deep too! Last week I was doing 6-7 reps, but today I was able to do 10-11 pull-ups on pretty much all the variations (with the last two reps really being tough). I felt dizzy on a couple occasions (I think one was after the second chair salutation and the other one was after the speed squats), but no real problems over all. I think today has been the best day of my P90X experience so far. It’s the dinner&movie Friday after work today, so I’m thinking I will do Abripper with Kenpo tomorrow.

So I tried waking up at the usual 5:25am for Yoga this morning, but no such luck lol. I tried guilting myself into getting up, but it just was not happening. I decided to get it done after work as soon as I get home and I think it was a wise decision. I did really good as I didn’t have to worry about getting late for work and traffic etc. I’m so tired now lol hopefully my legs will have enough time to recover before tomorrow morning’s legs and back workout.

The intensity wasn’t as high as I would have wanted it to be, but it was still a very solid workout. I would say the overall intensity was about 80-85%. I did better than last week on some of the pullups, but worse or about the same on others. I was able to increase the weight and keep the rep range the same in all the exercises with db’s. Abripper was exhausting, I was out of breath by the time I was done. I did okay, but I still feel like I perform better when I do Abripper at home in the afternoon. Tomorrow is Yoga, and I’m wondering if my legs are going to be able to take it lol…
