Well, Canadian Thanksgiving was on Monday, and I told myself from the start it would be my only cheat day. It was glorious - turkey, potatoes, gravy, stuffing, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie. The problem was, it got me craving more sugar and starchy carbs again, so Wednesday I broke my diet again without really even thinking about it. I won’t go into detail about it but, I felt extremely soft yesterday and still do today, so I think that’s enough motivation to avoid the sweets and heavy starches. I’ve definetly seen good progress in strength, as well as noticeable differences in the fitting of my clothes, haha. I’m glad to be back below 200 again. I think 205 was the highest I’ve ever been. Back when I was competing in BJJ and Muay Thai I competed at 185 lbs, so I’ve either put on some muscle, or fat, or both. Its definetly nice to be pushing my limits again, it brings back a nostalgic feeling almost… just this time I’m not throwing up from exhaustion… yet.

So I’ve been doing a great job of keeping on my diet, up until today. It wasn’t even in my control (though I couldve done a better job planning ahead). I had a work "team building function" today, and they sent the e-mail out saying that breakfast would be provided at 7:30. I think, great this should workout well, I’ll have some eggs there and some fruit and that’ll save me having to eat my own breakfast, and I can still be social with the rest of the team. Little did I know it was a continental breakfast, with muffins and other pastries. I was pretty dissapointed, because I hadn’t had anything to eat yet. I managed to pick around this and eat a couple bran muffins, and drank some water, but this was far from desirable and I didn’t really see it as healthy. For lunch they provided some veggies and burgers which is healthy enough, provided some protein, and a little more fat and simple carbs than I’d like but thats okay. Anyways, I’m gonna hop back on the diet, hopefully one day of crappy diet won’t set me back too much. I’m seeing pretty good gains, and my motivation is doing excellent as well. Been keeping the cardio going every day, its been nice to get the blood flowing and get my juices moving again.
