Day 28

Monday, June 22nd, 2009

42 minutes of cardio this morning and on to do afternoon work out of weight lifting. I may squeeze in upper and lower body if time permits it. busy weekend and had to substitute a couple of workouts with alternate ones. that is ok. still pressing forward.

lifting this afternoon was awesome! i really felt the burn and felt strong, too. I was able to squeeze in legs after doing back, chest  and delts. i am sooooo doing this!!! I am in class for the rest of the week and not sure how i will work out in the morning and the afternoon. i’m gonna make it happen anyway! Ciao.

Day 24 - So close!

I am so excited about my 30 day consistency challenge. I don’t think i have ever done so well with eating an working out since having a family. I am now able to focus more on taking care of me in lieu of taking care of everyone else. I can hardly wait for that day to come where i realize some serious changes in my body. I do feel stronger and at times more energetic. I was not able to do my 45 min incline walk this morning. the rain really had an impact on traffic and i needed to get to work. this afternoon i will do a circuit class at my gym and hopefully  this evening i will be able to make up the work out i missed this morning. i am patiently waiting for my liquid multivitamins and vasocharge to come in. it is like my birthday when ever i receive a package, especially from Bodybuilding.com. Aaahh!
hair. i am totally getting braids. i have a short cut and i love it… but when i workout, my hair is totally soaked and i can hardly make it look decent sometimes. so i think i am going to try braids for a little while. hopefully it will work out for me. i don’t want to have to worry about looking crazy after accomplishing something awesome! if the braids don’t work, i will cut my hair really short so all i will have to do is throw some gel in it. anyway, G/G.

My meals will be the same as yesterday for the most part.

Day 23!!!

I ran 5 miles this morning. And my meals consist of the following for today:

0500 -Muscle Milk and 18 almonds (did not eat the almonds - i forgot about them)

0700 - Ran 5 miles!!! Woohoo!
0800 - 3 eggs and 6 egg whites (only ate half - too many eggs to eat after running)

1100 - Turkey and bean echilada mixture 1 cup and 6oz of spinach

1400 - MM shake and 18 almonds

1700 - 18 almonds and 3.5oz blueberries
2000 - totally bombed when i got home from work (gave kids goldfish crackers and then i had some too… including 6 cookies and cheese puffs! aaah. gotsta be mo’ careful!)
I plan to do wts this evening/afternoon. TTFN. I feel so good!

as for meals… today i did awesome while i was away from home. but once i began to handle the kids’ food, i fell on my face. today i will work to begin a new routine so i am not so tempted to eat their snacks… maybe they will have blueberries with me! and some yogurt.
2 sets at 10 reps each.

Alternate between sets for each biceps and triceps exercise (i.e. perform one set of barbell curls then one set of close grip bench). Repeat until all sets for each exercise is completed then proceed to the next two exercises.Biceps: barbell curl 30lbs, db curl 15, cable curl 30lbs then 20lbs
Triceps:close grip bench 30lbs, skull crusher 15lbs, tricep pressdown 50lbs
Forearms: barbell forearm curl 30lbs, db forearm curl 15lbs

* i ended my work out with abs: crunches and heel touches (2sets of 15reps) and close hand push ups with great form 2sets of 10 reps.

Day 22

Did an hour of circuit drills. It was awesome!

breakfast - chicken biscuit (1/2 the biscuit), 7 cheesy tots
snack - honey comb cereal (1cup)
lunch - garlic low calorie and low carb tortilla wrap(2), turkey and bean enchilada mixture
snack - 6 coconut cookies
dinner - muscle milk w/ all natural berry juice

I have my meals already packed and written down for tomorrow. I am using the plan using the meal suggestions from Team Scivation for the next couple of weeks. After making better choices in foods this month, their plan does not seem so strenuous. I just want to see what will happen if i follow it. Ooo exciting!

Day 22

Day 21 (today)

Ok, now that i am caught up on my activity… This morning it was hard for me to get up so i missed my morning workout. I will go to the gym this afternoon and probably do a abs this evening and STRETCH! My push ups are looking great too! I will post my stats for today, meals and hopefully my latest pics. Time management! LOL!

Days 12 - 20

it is a serious challenge for me to get on the computer in the evening once i make it home. but some how i need to get it done. i was in class for a while and did not have access to the internet besides using my phone.. and that really sucks because it takes so long to load a page and your message may or may not actually be posted… anyway!

I have been very consistent with working out in the morning at home via dvd and then in the afternoon/late morning. My eating was awesome while i was in class. i was so afraid that i would fall off the wagon. But i did not fall! I planned my meals before hand and did not deviate from it. I have to do better at writing down what i ate in the right notebook instead of in different places. I love jillian michaels’ dvds. they really keep me on my toes and with her online programs I REALLY feel it. I went horsback riding for the first time this weekend and it was awesome! I love horses but was so afraid of them… they are huge. I already got me a cute hat for  when i am riding and i will get some boots probably this week. I am so excited. my kids love the horses too but are too small for real lessons.

Day 10 and 11

Day 10 - June 4th

I did it! 5.3 miles on the treadmill on the 10k personal trainer setting! Burned 763 cals and 65 minutes including my cool down.

total calories eaten = 1290/1310 and i felt great!
49.1 - fat; 54.5 - protein; 168.2 - carbs

Day 11 June 5th

i am on my way to the gym in  few minutes and my eating has been awesome today! I can hardly wait to share the results of my workout and meals. =)

Woohoo! I was not able to run today like i wanted to so I lifted a little bit of everything. Legs, back, chest, delts, calves and abs. Whew! I feel good but I  am  getting  a little hungry now  and it is  10:39 pm. What am i going to do?! Maybe grapes. My calories for  today is at 1155! A little lower than I expected, but i did not want to over do it. i will eat  something before i actually lay down. fat 40g, protein 71, carbs 215.3. Carbs  seem a little high. Actually. after looking at a few calculations…. it is all too low. gotta do better  tomorrow with out eating the wrong things and over doing it. I am so excited about my consistency. Hopefully i can jog with the  kids tomorrow morning.

Day 9

Wow these days are flying by. I am still using Jillian Michaels workout routines and I love it. They really keep me guessing. Today i plan to do a long run. At least 5 miles and a little bit of working the abs. I have not really lost weight. But my clothes are a little loser. So I am on my way. I am taking my water consumption (i really like that word) up to 100oz per day and calories around 1489.
