Mini Review 7 [6]

Saturday, May 26th, 2007

Here are a few I have been meaning to get to for some time:

Sedona Labs iFlora: I began, a while ago, to feel digestion might be some sort of issue. In a high protein diet, there is a certain amount of cranking out hot ones into trousers and I had some particularly nasty stuff rolling. This one not only cleaned that right up, it also erased a bloated feeling I had been having. Very nice stuff.

MRM Digest-All: This one has a similar function to the iFlora, but is more of an enzyme-based supplement. It became immediately clear that I responded much better to the iFlora, as this one only very peripherally did what iFlora did. It reduced flatulence slightly, but not particularly well and once I started thermogenics, reacted with those very poorly, to the point where I had to drop it out of my regimen.

Shocker AlphaMale: This is a multi-vitamin that alleges a certain amount of test boosting. The formulation here is intriguing and while I have not had my test levels ummmm tested, it is clear to me that my body is responding much better to this than other multi-vitamins in the past. In fact, I like this one so much that it has become my new multi-vitamin staple.

Prolab Pure Whey Chocolate Mint: I only wound up getting one serving of this, but I did enjoy it somewhat. It mixed decently, but I has some reservations about the taste being something I could deal with on a continual or regular basis…this one needs more observation. I will probably order a tub of one of the flavors on the next order.

CLIF Builders Bar: I tried Cookies & Cream and Chocolate, both of which tasted excellent. This, however, uses soy isolate as its main form of protein, which is not something I will continue with. The macro breakdown of these is not particularly wonderful, either, in terms of a protein bar. Useful in a pinch if there is nothing better around.

Designer Supplements Sustain Bar: I got the Peanut Butter Fudge version, which is pretty tasty, almost amazingly so for a protein bar, but it also has 35g of carbs, which does well to strike it as useful for me. Once again, I am not a big fan of the macro breakdown here, either. This strikes me more as a food bar than a protein bar.
