Training has been going fantastic. The results I’ve achievement are unbelievable. It has been worth all the time and effort (and cost) that I’ve invested. Now that I’m 12 weeks in, Todd says it’s going to be another 5 - 6 months until I’m "ready, ready" to maybe compete. When I look here on BB there are people who have been doing this for years and have their bodies finally the way they want them. I feel humbled in the presence of such awesome athletes who have dedicated their time, and put their hearts and souls into making over their bodies and lives. Because truly, that’s what it is, it’s a life change. When people ask me, "how do you do it?" I tell them that. You have to make a life change. You can’t diet for a couple months, lift a couple weights, do a little cardio, get off about 10 lbs. or so and give up. It takes committment and dedication. So everyday when I log on (I have to log onto BB daily), I get a boost of confidence and also a little push to continue to move forward with my goals. I want to say thank you to everyone out there who has been supporting me in my efforts to make this life change, to reach my goals, and who have been such an inspiration and encouragement! Lift & work hard people, or go home! Keep it up…

I’ve been thinking about this for some time now, and thought I would just put it down in words.
I don’t think that those of us who have hired personal trainer’s give them enough credit. I don’t, I’ll admit it. My trainer has been there from day one, and has put up with some crap from me. But here we are 10 weeks in, and it’s better now than the first day! I’ve finally realized that he really does know what he’s talking about, and that I’ve finally stopped fighting him, and just do what he says! It has been working from the start, so I don’t know why I’ve been fighting it.
Maybe, I’ve realized, that I’ve been secretly and deep down fighting myself. Scared to be progressing toward the goal that I set for myself. There, I’ve said it. But you know what? He hasn’t let me quit. He has pushed me, and is continuing to push me. "This is what you pay me for!" And it’s true.
So come on and join me in giving a little more credit where credit is due to our trainers who put up with our whining, fussing, disobedience, outright hatred, and ultimately our admiration. When you see your trainer next, say Thanks for everything…

I really think joining BodyBuilding.com is going to launch my fitness goals into overdrive. I’m more excited to be meeting other people who are excited to feel great, look great, and keep themselves alive and healthy by working out, and eating right!
Since I began a couple of months back, my family is joining the bandwagon a bit at a time. My sons are working out at the gym and trying to become more active. My middle son is going to join the school football team next year so that he can become more physically fit! Yeah, I’m all for it. I’m going to try to take some pics tomorrow of them all so that you can see how proud I am to be a role model for a healthier lifestyle for them.
